We preferred L' Artemise to one of the area's fancier, establishments as we found the atmosphere more relaxed, the food more to our liking, and the service more welcoming. Benoit, his staff, and the chef all work together to make the meal one you will remember. It does not matter if you have the duck, seafood, meat or whatever is in season. It will be prepared correctly, with an interesting twist, and a meal you will happily look back on.

During our first visit, Benoit suggested a fantastic wine from the nearby area, it was exceptional, so much so that we ordered it again on our last night in Uzes. Weather permitting, I suggest a table on the small beautiful terrace, or even better in the garden.

We understand the restaurant is working toward a Michelin star, I have no doubt that if they continue to provide the same quality of food and service, they will surely attain their goal.

We booked this restaurant while at home in England. As it was our Anniversary while on a family holiday, we wanted to go somewhere special. After researching restaurants in Uzes, we decided to book a table at L'Artemise for the 4th August 2014.
The setting, garden , service and food were all excellent. The staff were all very professional and polite. The surprise menu added an unusual aspect to dining but each course was fantastic and beautifully presented. In between courses , there were little surprise food and drink bought to the table.
Near the end of our meal a platter with white chocolate writing appeared saying 'Happy Wedding Anniversary' - wow, that made it very special for us.
A Big 'thank you' to the chef and staff at the L'Artemise and we hope to enjoy a meal there again in the future.

This was our favourite place and we'd come back here. Only a stroll into the centre of Uzes which is really a gorgeous old town. The hotel is top of the range yet feels very relaxed. It's got a very old part and the rest ties in beautifully with that. Glamorous swimming pools and really beautiful rooms but it is the restaurant I enjoyed the most. This place is chic and romantic with no frilly lace or over-patterned florals in sight. Thank the Lord.

Following 5 weeks of travel through Provence and The Luberon and having dinner at different restaurants every second night we consider L'Artemise the best we experienced .Such a beautiful setting .The building, the gardens, the lighting, the table decoration and then the food and service all quite exceptional.Presentation and quality the equal of all the more promoted Michellin Restaurants.
Congratulations to the owners Pierre and Benoit ,you obviously are very creative people with loads of style who employ people who understand the meaning of presentation, service and of course serving quality delicious food.

My third time at Artemise in 3 years. Atmosphere is till superb, staff is superfriendly as always, but food was not as outstanding as previous times.
Dont get me wrong, still very fine food for an acceptable price, but as expectations are rising and competition in and around Uzes growing, they will have to do something about the finishing touch

Thank you for your review.
Too bad you did not feel the need the past two times to post a fantastic review on Tripadvisor. Repeating customers seem to think that the kitchen has improved again this year. We hope we can make you change your mind.
