“Pretty, Charming, Central”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

A pretty little hotel just across the road from the pedestrian heart of Uzes. The concierge is charming as is his little dog! Beautifully and quirkily decorated, the wifi in the rooms is patchy though. The toiletries in the bathroom are great. The shower in room 7 was good but stay in room 3 with the jacuzzi bath!

The breakfast was OK, orange juice, coffee and bread and croissants but not much else, which I thought expensive at 14E.

There was an issue with the bill which was easily resolved but make sure you take the confirmation email from booking.com (if you use them) as there seems to be miscommunication between the hotel and the website about the price of the rooms.

We had room # 3 and it had a lovely blend of rustic pieces yet modern pieces in the bathroom. I loved the tile floor as hotel carpet can be quite nasty at times. The bathroom was a nice size with enough room on the vanity for our toiletries. Just watch the shower head, it's mounted rather low, even for me at 5'6" and didn't always stay in place in its bracket, but it works. The new windows did help block out the noise from the busy street the hotel is on. The room included a mini bar fridge which had room for our own bottle of wine. TV reception was fine, no problem watching the Tour de France. The free wifi was great and the AC was nice and quiet.

The included breakfast was great and it was served to you, not buffet style. This hotel is all about service and they do it well. We stayed here as part of a tour and it included one dinner. The meal and service was amazing. They even accommodated my Celiac disease nicely so at the end of the evening I was full.

There are plenty of bakeries, restaurants and ice cream shops in the area. A very nice location for a hotel, easy to walk around and check out all the shopping too!! I would definitely stay here again.

We have just returned from France, antique hunting in Avignon, Bezier and Montpellier, and have stopped for two nights at this magical place. The hotel with its special flair and style fits well into Uzes. Everything is in walking distance, easy and secure parking provided by the hotel. The hospitality is exceptional and the healthy breakfast first class. We can thoroughly recommend the hotel for short and longer breaks and will certainly return there when again in the area. I'm a first time reviewer on trip advisor but we had enough remarkable experiences on this trip that I thought it was time I chimed in. From the moment Eric rushed out to help us with our bags until we sadly the departed, we had an extraordinary visit. The rooms are clean, well decorated with beautiful art pieces and a great shower (I judge many hotels by the bathroom). Eric was charming and gracious. We enjoyed breakfast on the outdoor terrace and the staff always has a corkscrew ready to help you with your wine! If there is one complaint it would be minor in that the wireless didn't always work in our rooms but then again, I was supposed to be unplugging for the trip so maybe that isn't such a bad thing. I hope to return one day!

Just returned from our annual trip to France which this year included a few days in Uzes,
Hostellerie Provençale is ideally located in the centre of Uzes and within walking distance of everything.
Our car conveniently parked in a secure car park nearby which was a bonus (bookable in advance).
We loved Uzes and were extremely well looked after by everyone in the hotel.
Whilst there my husband was not well and Eric was particularly helpful and caring which we appreciated greatly. We highly recommend this hotel and restaurant.

We stayed only one night at this excellent little hotel. We arrived in a drizzle and Eric jogged down the hill to guide us to their garage a block away. Back at the hotel, he snatched hand luggage and insisted on carrying it to our room. We enjoyed a fine dinner in the intimate dining room before retiring to our comfy bed. We had to leave very early in the morning, and Eric made special arrangements for us to retrieve our car from the garage and leave the key at the hotel. The entire staff, modelling Eric, was guest-centric. We have never had such kind attention at a hotel. We will return with pleasure to both hotel and dining room.

We are late posting this as we stayed in sep 2013, what a location and the rooms, breakfast on the terrace and the staff were all fantastic. The only thing we would change was the time was too short, next time we would stay a lot longer.
Thank you to a great hotel and staff
