Our 2 weeks at Inge and Robert’s home in Sanilhac-Sagries was a very pleasurable and enchanting adventure. Walking into and exploring their 17th century stone home, located within in a small, very quiet village just south of Uzes, was itself an experience to remember and enjoy. It was as if we were living in a small medieval castle, but with all the modern conveniences and comforts we needed. There is a large, well equipped kitchen with a combination electric/gas stove/oven, a large master bedroom with ensuite bathroom (up 3 steps) and a king size very comfortable, bed.
Off the kitchen is a walled, private courtyard for sitting or lounging and the same can be done on the private, rooftop patio, overlooking the village.
The home is well located for day trips by car to the many different villages, towns and cities with their “markets” and attractions, all within anywhere from 5 to 60 minutes.
Inge was a very pleasant, efficient, well organized and accommodating host, from our first contact to the final wrap up for our vacation. It was also very comforting and helpful to have Joel, the property manager, living only steps away, if we had any questions or needed help.
Beautiful stone house full of French charm, situated in a peaceful village location (with yummy bakery) - within easy reach (10min drive) of a supermarket and the wonderful traditional town of Uzes. We also visited nearby Nimes and Pont Du Gard. The house had everything we needed - a choice of outside relaxing areas, the sunny roof terrace with sofas and the pretty courtyard garden with table and deckchairs. The house is spacious and well furnished with everything we needed for a wonderful holiday. We didn't want to come home!
