As we only stayed here for overnight stops,we didint have time to explore.
We were in a coach & it definately is the wrong hotel for coaches as parking was a big problem.
The rooms are large & comfy & very clean.Breakfast was excellent & didint lack anything.Well recommended to city travellers.
Very well-located and quite adequate hotel for a night or two. Helpful staff, cleanish rooms, essentially what you'd expect without being magnificent. The direct linkage to the Centre Commercial is a great plus (if you like that kind of thing) due to immediate access to supermarket, retail outlets etc. Also only minutes on foot to the cathedral . . .
This hotel is a short taxi ride from the train station (7-10 Euro's) and is right in the heart of the city. The hotel is partially built over a shopping center including a fair range of shops. Downtown Metz has an excellent array of shops if that is what you are looking for. We got a good rate but if you want breakfast included that would have been considerably higher. There are lots of nearby bars/cafes that can provide cheaper fare (of course try the quiche).
The room was comfortable with a good bed, flat screen TV and modern bathroom (large shower and separate toilet). The room was clean and our non-smoking room did not smell of cigarettes. Free wifi was provided that was reasonably fast and reliable (although it was via a logon to Orange that took a little working out - instructions could have been clearer).
If you have kids (or a young heart) there is a free xbox station in the main foyer with a kinetic interface that looked like fun.
The front desk staff were not particularly helpful or communicative, but that may have been because of limited English.
