“The most humbling experience ever.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

If you ever plan a trip to Northern France, please make sure you have Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery on your list of places to visit. Start out with the museum tour by watching the D-Day video with the greatest armada ever in human history. The museum has artifacts and personal items from that historic event. Then walking amongst the the fallen heroes, with every cross lined up precisely square and in line with the next. Row by row, names of men and women
that have paid the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. Seeing the American flag flying high over each cross makes you proud and thankful to all who are interned there.
It's a must see for every proud American.

“Very large and beautifully landscaped”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

This cemetery from World War I is the largest American cemetery in Europe, and it is beautifully landscaped on a hill. The other side of the road is also part of the cemetery but there are no graves. However, one has a nice view on the cemetery from this side.

“Unbelievable! ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014 via mobile

Forget everything you have ever seen. This place is absolutely beautiful, humbling and breathtaking. Get there early and head for the main building... you will be pleasantly surprised. The chimes will will remain with you forever. Enough said. You need to visit if passing... it's the least you can do. We will never forget. And always remember them.

“The largest American Cemetery outside of the US”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

Like all US Military cemeteries this one is very beautifully laid out but very humbling as well. It is actually located a short distance outside of Verdun so don’t think you’ve missed it. Worth the drive north to see it though.

“SAD..OH. SO SAD”

Visited on a rainy day, but was not much of the battle on rainy days but this added to the gloom. Glad to see at least a few people remember.
