We stayed here on our first night of a cycle tour and it was definitely a highlight of our tour. Extraordinarily beautiful and unusual place. We stayed in the room on the top floor with absolutely gorgeous views of the cathedral & Albi. Absolutely enchanting - and the bed was soooo comfortable! Bertrand was a wonderful ambassador for the city and a warm and generous host. We loved it!

Our stay here in May was a real delight! La Tour Sainte Cecile has been beautifully restored and is most attractive and comfortable. It's proximity to all the sights in Albi couldn't be more perfect and Monsieur Amalric is incredibly generous in his hospitality and caring for his guests. The deep pride he feels for his ancestral home and lovely city is well-founded. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

A perfect and unique home and location for any visit to Albi. We stayed in the Chambre Fleur de Lys with its stunning view of the Cathedral. Centrally located for both the Cathedral and the Toulouse Lautrec Museum in addition to all the cafes and restaurants of Albi right on the doorstep. Bertrand - the home owner was an exceptional host right down to being our taxi service back to the train station and eventually back home to London.UK.

The hotel is in a charming old building near the historic cathedral quarter. The décor is lovely albeit the mattress was soft, leading to inward roll and a bad back the next morning. Some of the rooms are quite large and have views to the Cathedral tower. The bathroom was lovely but with one small piece of soap and some very basic shampoo. The hosts speak very modest English. The big disappointment was breakfast. Only vanilla yoghurt (yuk, why no choices?) no fruit, no honey. Several tiny pastries (a straight 4 inch croissant) and pieces of baguette with butter for breakfast. Cheap orange juice and coffee in a flask like an American hotel. For a provincial location it was expensive and fundamentally all style, no substance.

La Tour Sainte Cecile is one of the most enchanting and magic places in which I have stayed in Many years of travelling. A mix of castle and mansion with charming host Bertrand who couldn't be more helpful. Wish we had negotiated spiral staircase to rooms at the top but our accommodation was magic and decor absolutely in keeping with beamed ceiling and brickwork. Artwork on walls and wonderful stone floors in some rooms and wood in other areas just added to this indeed being a unique place to stay. Albi was worth the 7 hour train trip!

Super choice for albi central location. Unusual accommodation and helpful host.
Suggest parking in cathedral car park and then find hotel on foot. Location is basically pedestrian street and not easy to find by car.
Great for somewhere different to stay.

Room Tip: 2 rooms with spiral stone staircase. Not for disabled. Take small bags!

Booking Le Tour Sainte Cecil was our little treat near the end of a month long holiday in Europe and 'Treat' it was! Bertrand our host greeted us at the door to this incredible B&B and was the most charming host we could have wished for during our all too brief stay. We had booked the Suite Sainte Cecile which could easily suit two couples, or a couple with older children as it has two bathrooms and two vanity rooms, plus a beautiful sitting room with two singles beds. The main bedroom is very spacious and contains a separate shower room and the first of the two vanities. To say the suite has been decorated in the finest taste, would be understating the reality. Le Tour is still Bertrand's family home and is cherished as such. We were treated to Limoges fine china with gold teaspoons for our morning tea and a delicious continental breakfast each morning. Even the tea is special, purchased from Paris and delicious. Bertrand was very helpful with tips on where to eat locally and what to see. The location of Le Tour is so central to all the main attractions and is in a pedestrian precinct, surrounded by lots of boutiques, restaurants and specialist shops, plus all the museums and the beautiful Cathedral. We could have spent 5 days here and just loved the B & B. We would highly recommend Le Tour Sainte Cecile to the most discerning traveller.

Room Tip: We chose the suite because the Toulouse Lautrec room was located at the top of a narrow spiral stair...
