“Perfect scallops, bright and airy dining room, unique desserts”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

We were lucky to have snagged one of the last tables in this small restaurant, which was filled largely with British tourists. No children's menu, but there was enough on the menu that appealed (moussaka dish, divided into two... and, of course, the pineapple tiramisu to cap off the meal). Service was brisk (and perhaps a bit brusque) but efficient, with only a few people tending to the whole room and terrace. My starter of pan-fried scallops with a tangy lentil salad was to become the best meal I had in our two-week holiday in France. Scallops had a sweet, carmelized crust - which contrasted beautifully with the sharpness of the lentils. We will definitely come back the next time in the region.

“A Very Fine Lunch”
Reviewed 11 June 2014 via mobile

This was a seriously fine lunch. The setting is modern and the staff are efficient and friendly which is good in a restaurant which is very busy. The menu has a good selection which seemed to have something for everyone. Squid salad was a pleasant start followed by guinea fowl which was superb. Others had the Sea bream and lamb which were equally as good. To finish a nice macaroon fruit dessert. The portioning was adequate whilst not huge which seemed to please the ladies and was perfect for lunch. The whole meal was genuinely excellent. In a region where we have found some outstanding restaurants (Castelfranc, Prayssac) this was a fine lunch which created lots of discussion as to which one was the favourite. Everyone had their preference but this certainly had much to recommend it.

“Informal but with high standards”
Reviewed 25 May 2014

Only open for lunch, and popular with locals and tourists alike, this small bistro-cum-restaurant-cum-traiteur is worth booking in advance. The back half is for (very up-market) take-away meals, while the open, airy front half is for sit-down meal. The menu is limited (and has nothing for vegetarians, unless you eat fish), but the food is excellent. Portions are not huge, but the quality and the presentation is impeccable. The ambience is informal but not overcasual; service is professional and efficient. A first-class choice for a good-quality sit-down lunch.

“Memories!”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

An excellent lunch in February, with the main course of fresh salmon one of the best that I can remember since 1958!
