There is a good walk to the view point from Cahors and the view when you arrive is worth it. The route is fairly steep. There is also access for cars available if required and then a short walk from the carpark to the view point. A little cafe provides refreshment and icecreams.

If you are young and Healy you might run all the way up. We just took the car to enjoy the view. It's has a wonderful view of the city below. Don't miss it!

Hi @blue_or and thanks for this review,
You can go by car or on a hiking way. About hiking, just being healy is enough, you have 1km up from the departure to the view. You need sport or hike shoes.

See you !

A lovely viewpoint over Cahors which gives you a clear understanding of its layout. Surrounded by gorse and countryside with a choice of walks.

Great view from the top of the Mount.
You can arrive by car or climb the pass but we did a nice 6 km walk to arrive to the Mount.
There are yellow marks.
You van buy a map at the tourist center for 50 cents.

Spectacular views over Cahors - the whole town and the bend in the river which encloses it is laid outbefore you. It's a bit of adrive (20 mins) for the town centre, but if you're visiting Cahor for the day don't miss it on the way in or out.

Tourism office suggested this place for a picnic with a view over cahors. It is a little drive out to get there but worth the view. Although the facilities seemed a bit neglected it was ample, quiet, well sign posted and had shade. I recommend you visit cahors, get some provisions in or around the market (bio shops available) and finish your visit with this view and a picnic.

Go on a clear day fantastic view and shows the true layout of Cahors on the horseshoe bend in the river. Make the second visit during the hours of darkness for a totally different slant on the same view.

This is THE place for taking that iconic panorama of Cahors. The town is laid out below in it's bend in the river Lot. The cathedral and the bridges re clearly visible. There's plenty of parking and a simple restaurant.
You can either walk up (10 - 15 minutes) from the city or drive (quite a long way round).
No visit to Cahors is complete without this view.
