On arriving at Le Castelet your heart lifts with the beauty of the building and the surroundings; and once inside you cant help but smile even more. In total 24 family members stayed for a week in the main residence and the gites. Eric and Suzy were our fantastic hosts who have created unique bedrooms/suites, a relaxing lounge and billiard room. Most days we sunbathed by the pool, played table tennis and boules and walked through the grounds. The nearby towns such as Castres and Albi - both of which had numerous restaurants and places of interest to see - are well worth a visit. I would recommed you have transport as taxis are expensive.

Suzy cooked us a very tasty evening meal, well worth the 25 euros; and each morning provided breakfast which was by far the best 'continental' we have had and plenty of it. Everything was super fresh and Suzy makes all the jams/chutneys herself from the produce she grows. The extra touches, such as allowing us to use the kitchen to make lunch and Eric taking us into Castres by car, were all very much appreciated. This is a special place which we highly recommend. We had a great time.

Room Tip: Gites are great for families. Contact the hotel if you have mobility problems

I just wanted to pass on my thanks for our lovely stay at Le Castelet. I'm afraid to say that my fears, that Le Castelet was going to be the best on our tour through the Midi Pyrenees, proved completely accurate. Both in terms of your lovely home and your kind hospitality you were miles (Kms) ahead of anywhere else that we stayed. Elegant, relaxed, incredibly peaceful with charming hosts. We look forward to staying again before too long.

my wife and I planned out trip thorugh the south of France , sleeping over 1 night in different place, that allow us to know many places, but in some cases gave us just too little of enchanted places as Le Castelet.
A beautiful castle in the country side nearby Castres ( beautiful town by the Agout river), suberb decoration, and hosted by a very nice couple and their daugther.
We arrived almost at night, since our driving journeys were long, in a rainy and cloudy day, coming from Perpignan through the Cathar country by Carcassone, the arrival allow you to see the place in all its dimension, you come down a hill and you see that beautiful castle with a really nice garden and surroundings.
We were knindly received by this family and after we unpacked they gave us a welcome wine and some canapes, by the fireplace .
We stayed at the Angels room, beautiful , and decorated with such a good taste as the full house, this room is by the side of a play room with a billiard table, and a TV room , wre you can for sure enjoy a good reading by night. The in suite room, has a bathtub, in a really spacious bathroom.
My wife is an interior designer, and she got ammazed with this place, we felt in love with it,and sure will come back,
Next morning breakfast was at same level as all just said: A+
Home made jams, bread , cheese and ham, close to the window with a view of the landscape
What more can you ask? I really recomend the place, I think it should be great to stay a week there, as a point of departure for all the Tarn region, to explore this magnificent land, coming back by the sunset to spend the night, I imagine also that the day life at the Casteletmust be excellent, to take walks around to enjoy the pool, etc
Congratulations for your amazing place, I do recommend it to all people I know, and this will make Castres as a returning place to get by Le Castelet in my future trips to France,

Room Tip: I dont qualify fitness centre since I dont know if it has or not,

we stayed at Le Castelet after a long drive through France, hadn't booked, but followed a sign from the nearest town Castres, and found this gem. really welcoming hosts, relaxing atmosphere, and the interior was fantastic, really special place, and somewhere we will definitely return. The whole experience for us was a real getaway, and a welcome addition to our holiday. The breakfast was fantastic, good quality food on offer, with homemade jam and local honey. If you haven't done so already, book this place as its highly recommended.

Room Tip: the bedrooms on the ground floor are beautiful, high ceilings with great bathrooms.

In Castres for a wedding, only managed to stay at the Castelet for a couple of nights, but planning to go back already. The location is great (vraiment, a coin de paradis!",) clean and perfect to make your base to tour the area. The owners are welcoming people and went out of their way to make our stay a peasant one. A peaceful, well-served hideaway to tour a nice region

We could hardly believe our eyes as we drove down the tree-lined drive towards the stunning house, gardens and pool of Le Castelet. It really is a very special building set in wonderful countryside. We felt incredibly privileged to be staying there. The luxury continued inside the property - we stayed in the Chambre aux Herbiers on the ground floor, which was beautifully furnished and had an enormous walk-in shower. Towels for the pool were provided as well - and its well worth a dip (quite the biggest pool I've been in for a while, with plenty of loungers and a sofa seating area too).
Suzy and her family - not to mention the dog and cat - are all very charming and welcoming. We really felt one night hadn't done justice to their house or the surrounding area. We'd love to come back.

We stayed two nights in this B&B to escape the noise and chaos we experienced in another hotel in Castre. Even though the B&B is somewhat further from the city centre than indicated on Tripadvisor (approx 8km) we were very happy that we made this decission.
The service was excellent: they picked us up when we couldn't find it and they provided a last minute lunch which was simple but great.
The building itself is classic which guarantee a romantic atmosphere although it can be a disadvantage if you have 4 children staying in the room above you.
All in all it was a great experience.
