“Modern Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2013

Wonderful surprise of a hotel! My sister gifted us with an overnight stay in this hotel on our way from Paris to Barcelona. The priority for visiting Lourdes was the Sanctuary so I wasn't really thinking of the hotel. The modern design was apparent from the lobby all the way to the rooms. Reception was very efficient and friendly. Location was perfect. A very short walk to the Sanctuary but situated in such a way that it's not on the path of everyone. We had view of the Sanctuary from our room window. Room size is perfect for a short stay. Wi-fi is free and there are 2 available desktops and a printer in the lobby. Design of the hotel and rooms show that attention was given to the needs of disabled. Eco-friendly devices for corridor, room lights and air-conditioner were a nice touch. Lights only turn on in the corridors if movement is sensed. Air-conditioning switches off or can't be turned on if windows are opened. Would surely stay in the same hotel when I get back to Lourdes.

When reviewing hotels in Lourdes, I felt apprehensive as many reviews included cautions about cleanliness and comfort. We were very surpised and pleased at our chosen accommodations. We stayed at the Panorama Hotel for one night and it is in the perfect location. Everything was a very short and easy walk from the hotel doors. The sanctuary is about 2 blocks away. It was very rainy - down pours and driving wind - while we were there so that was important - bring rain panchos and unbrellas!

The hotel staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and kind. Anne Marie (front desk) went out of her way to assist and make sure everything was to our liking. We booked a suite which turned out to be one large room with four twin beds (this is not a suite in American terms). So she quickly had two of the four twin beds made into a king. Being a 'princess and the pea' I am always concerned that the beds will not be comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. These beds were great. The room was very clean and the bathroom was large with a walk-in shower, and tub and it was sparkling clean.

The place looks like it has been renovated fairly recently. It is not high end and lovely but, it is most appropriate for the large groups of pilgrims that frequent it. It is clean, comfortable and excellently located.

The lobby was filled with joyful pilgrams playing church camp type games and singing, however, the rooms were very quiet. We did not eat breakfast here but it is offered. I would definately book here again.

Room Tip: A suite at this hotel is not a room with a seating area but a large room with four twin beds. This i...

As it is close to the sanctuary it is crowded, but otherwise very good hotel. For Lourdes as a strictly pilgrimage destinations covers almost all needs of their clients. We were there with the group and were served by good people, had a nice atmosphere. Absolutely would come back here....for sure that will be happy to see our pilgrims staying in Panorama...as long as they try as hard as they did in our case!

This is a great hotel to stay in if you plan to visit the Sanctuary and Grotto often as it is just a very short walk away. We chose this hotel primarily because of its great location & it has been recently renovated in clean, modern lines; the bathroom was also a fair size and well appointed, and breakfast was included. Hotel rate was quite reasonable too!
Like all people we met at Lourdes, the reception staff were most patient and kind in answering all our queries. Have no complaints regarding this hotel and would highly recommend it to others!

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor and take a room facing the Sanctuary

this was an excellent hotel, location wise , clean and the rooms were nice and also clean. The reception staffs were all smiles and polite and helpful..except for the staffs in the breakfast room, makes your early morning a disaster!!! no smiles at all, they serve as it is a dragging service, especially the one that looks like the head of the kitchen staff as if she owns the kitchen and the food you are about to eat...one morning i saw a fly on the ham,so i have to call their attention, no sorry or what, just took the plate away without saying anything. but if you sit on the wrong seat /or put your croissant in the toaster, she's so fast to say something and is mad...

Room Tip: triple beds are ok

Dear guest,
We thank you for sharing your experience. The breakfast time was not a such good moment as you could expect and we apologize for that. Our claim "we care for you" is not just a claim so that is a real disappointment for us. In spite of this inconvenience we hope you'll be our guest during your next visit. Best regards.

I booked a single room - often they are the worst ones, but not at the Panorama - a lovely room with a well equipped bathroom and even a balcony. Highly recommended for location and for quality. The reception staff were helpful and even the wifi (which was free) worked all the time!

Booked this hotel on expedia at a very reasonable rate. The hotel is in a great location, one of the nearest hotels to the sanctuary. I paid for a superior room with a view of the sanctuary. To be honest the view isn't really a view because the hotel is only 6 stories high. But I was facing the main gate and could see that. Literally a stone's throw away. The room itself was small and the bathrooms even smaller but it was clean, new and modern. Basic facilities but I found these very sufficient - tv with english channels, safe, free wifi, computers with internet in the lobby too, and it had a nice balcony. Most of the staff were really friendly and one was kind enough to allow me a late check out to 5pm. This deserves an excellent rating in my book.
