I knew the hotel was closed, just didn't really realise how close it is to the sanctuary (St. Joseph gate). The staffs were very helpful, we had to park at another hotel which is part of the group of hotels and they offered someone to take us there so we didn't get lost. We learned something new about how you drive in Lourdes (:)). Like to single out the two ladies at the reception, Sabrina and Anne Marie, they are both excellent and so helpful and speak english. The room was a good size and spacious and like the fact that it has separate toilet. Next door was the New Orleans restaurant that we dined two nights in a row. Love the Confit Duck and the mussels with fries there. My wife and I will stay at the hotel when we go back to the sanctuary. Probably the only other thing that I wanted to comment was the fact that we could hear people walked and the noise from the wall which disturbed us a little at first but we slept through without being awoken by those.

Even though we arrived early the very efficient reception staff were able to allocate our room. All the staff we met spoke good English.
Our room on the second floor had a balcony overlooking the street which was nice and we could see the Basilica from the balcony door.
The bedroom was clean and the beds comfortable. The bathroom also very clean had a good supply of towels and these were changed every day. There is only soap and a foam dispenser in the bathroom so you may need to bring shampoo and shower gel.
We had full board and although there was a set menu there was good variety and the food was nicely cooked and presented. The dining room staff were very helpful particularly Alberto who cheered us up every day by his friendly chat.
The hotel is very convenient for the sanctuary less that 5 minutes walk also close to shops and cafes.
This hotel is perfect for pilgrims who don't want to walk too far and need to be close to the shrine.

Lovely establishment with fantastic ladies manning the front desk. Room with a view of sanctuary thought there was trees, loved hearing the church bells chiming. Room was practically basic, no kettle and simplistic. We had 2 single beds, lots of space for 2 suitcases, a safe and closet space (with shelves/hanging). Bathroom very spacious, shower pressure not that fantastic. Our room was on the 6th floor #618. Thank you very much, Gals@Hotel Panorama.

Room Tip: of course getting higher & sanctuary view

After the so many reviews from friends about hotels in Lourdes, I was not expecting anything spectacular about Panorama Hotel. It was an answered prayer that we were led into this hotel which was literally a few steps away from St. Joseph's gate -- the gate of the shrine. Our room was small, spartan and CLEAN. It smelled really good when we entered. There were 2 separate rooms for the shower/lavatory and the water closet/bidet. Shouldn't a lavatory be in the water closet/bidet area too for hygienic purposes? Anyway, towel bars should be provided instead of robe hooks so towels can be hung properly. The lavatory space is so small and without a counter and so it could not accommodate our toiletries. But those are all minor comments that could be improved on by the hotel. What is important is the location of the hotel. There are several shops around and eateries. The in-house restaurant offers good food, as well as, the New Orleans Cafe which is right beside the hotel. Had very good seafood paella at the New Orleans Cafe. I am planning to go back to Lourdes next year and Panorama Hotel would definitely be where I will be staying but I would probably get a bigger room.

Fabulous hotel, on the doorstep of the Grotto, but quiet and well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful. Child friendly. Rooms well equipped and food excellent. We took a group of children and they had a great time.

Room Tip: even numbers have a balcony and face outwards over the street

We had the most wonderful experience from this hotel. The staff was so courteous and helpful. Booking the hotel was a breeze and responds to emails promptly. I must have emailed them several times for questions before our arrival and with the time difference, my emails are answered within 24 hours.
The moment we checked in, we were greeted by Doris. Her sweet smile welcomed us warmly and made sure we got everything we need to make our stay comfortably. It was nice to meet her as we communicated few times through emails. She gave us information for the restaurants, gave us coupon for some establishments, the entrance to Grotto, wifi info, etc.

We had the Triple room and is quite big compared to the typical european (small) rooms. It has a large bath tub & shower. It was perfect as my mother has limited mobility and using the european tub means it will be difficult for her. The whole bathroom is "senior friendly" (meaning it has handrails in the toilet & portable chair in the shower. It was very spacious. We had a double & single beds in the room and it was comfortable beds; we slept as were at home. There are 2 elevators for usage & one is larger than the other.
There is no restaurant during our stay; however, the cafe (see suggested Breakfast & Dinner picture) at the next hotel is connected at the Panorama. You can access it through outside too. We have our breakfast here always as we have our favorite & wonderful person "Esperanza". Sometimes we have our full breakfast or just plain croissant that are to die for along with the cappuccino with fresh crema! We have our dinner here too as there are only few restaurants that are open for dinner near the area. We prefer to have dinner at this cafe as it is fast and excellent service. Though the food choices are limited, it's bearable. As for Lunch, definitely our favorite cafe is "Cafe Les Brancardiers"! This cafe I believe they serve breakfast too but we always come to this cafe for lunch. They have wide selection of food and definitely SUPERB!!!! This is our ultimate FAVORITE! Unfortunately, they close around 3pm or 4pm; otherwise, we will have our dinner here too.

We tried the other restaurant "Sauveur Restaurant" but VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED with the service. We got there just when they opened and ordered immediately. We had the pre-fix menu and it took them 30 mins to serve the salad then another 30 mins for the main entree. The other table had their food immediately even though we were there first. After having disappointed with the food, we decided not to have our dessert (even it comes with it).Our waiter never came back to our table as he knew we were upset with his service. After we paid, it took them again another 15 mins before we got our change. We had to hail someone just to get their attention. REALLY BAD SERVICE...I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS AT ALL! This is the only BAD experience in our trip.

The Grotto's side entrance is about less than a mile away, very convenient from the hotel.

Big thanks to all the staff of Hotel Panorama and most especially to Doris!

Overall, one of the best hotels we've stayed and the next time we're in Lourdes, we will definitely stay in the hotel again. Excellent hotel & staff!

Room Tip: - money change (cambio) is just around the corner of the hotel (literally on the next street) - Caf...

I've stayed in lots of hotels in Europe, and Panorama Hotel is one of the best hotel. My overall review is excellent. From the moment we walked in, Anna Marie, was so pleasant. Because we made an error in our booking, she corrected it with ease (no problem), it was resolved quickly with a few clicks in her computer. After she told us what to expect or a brief history of the events that are going on at the moment in Lourdes, like where to go eat, the quickest way to the Cathedral. She gave us a brief information, like directions and a walk thru of all the places at Lourdes. When we got to our room, it was clean and the
space for two adults is so adequate . The food was good to at the hotel Restaurant. Overall the Panorama Hotel is excellent place to stay whenever you are going to visit "Our Lady of Lourdes".
