Sainte Rose
Ranked #22 of 185 Hotels in Lourdes

I recently stayed here as a part of an organised pilgrimage group. The location of the hotel is excellent. The room was ample for our needs & were serviced every morning with fresh towels and bed making. The food was superb, buffet style and a great variety. The staff were helpful and very courteous. The areas that need improvement are the lifts as they are old & small. They need to be updated & increased in size or add more lifts. The other area for improvement is signage for times of door closures and other directions around the hotel. However, overall a very enjoyable experience & look forward to returning to this hotel & the lovely grotto in Lourdes.

My second visit to the hotel
It has been decorated since my last visit and looks morden
. We had two room next to each other
The rooms were spacious and clean the bathroom was clean only had one light which was not enough
Staff were vert helpful
The best thing about the hotel is that it is only about 300 meters to St Joseph's gate
As my mother finds it difficult to walk the location of the hotel was fantastic
I will return to the hotel on my next visit to Lourdes
Car parking available on site for 14 euro a day

The hotel is very clean and very well maintained. The bar area is very pleasant with an outside area too. The food was okay, we had buffet, the choice wasn't amazing but what we did eat we enjoyed. The one half of the hotel is a bit dated but the other is really modern, unfortunately our room was on the dated side. Very old decor, bathroom door from the 60's, paint peeled off the windows and the room was actually on a slope so much so that you could roll a ball from wall to wall. Our original hotel was closed due to flooding so to have a decent enough hotel like this I cannot complain. However, when the Chapelle et Parc is open again we will not be returning to the Sainte Rose.

Just returned from a Pilgrimage to Lourdes. The wonderful hotel we stayed in last year was unfortunately closed due to the damage of the recent flooding. We were slightly apprehensive about this alternate accomodation but it was excellent. The hotel is situated very centrally in Lourdes. On leaving the hotel by different exits you can access the varied directions you need, so conveniently. The decor and lay out was excellent and nothing was too much bother for the staff. Any little requests were executed immediately with no problem. We had a Triple room which had a wonderful view at the front of the hotel. To the right as you look out the window you could see down to St Joseph's Gate, [the main entrance into the Basilica and Grotto]. Our rooms were serviced every day and very clean. Our group were there on Full Board and set meals, but you could access the Buffet if you wanted something different and there was plenty to suit everyone's tastes.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accomodation in Lourdes.

Room Tip: We were on Floor 1. Rooms are also available on the Ground floor with access directly to the street...

Loved our visit to St Rose Lourdes, excellent hotel close to the sancturies. Never ate here as we we're room only but friends said the food was nice, the hotel could be improved by offering some bar food as other hotels in this group in Lourdes like the Solitude. Room was ready on arrival having requested a disabled access room, our room was on the ground floor with a full wet room so this suited our needs perfectly.

We arrived and was greeted by a lovely receptionist who spoke English well enough which we appreciated as my French is ok and my other half's French is limited to bonjour. The hotel is situated right next to the domain and is literally a 3 minute walk away. It can be a little noisy but we quickly found the shutters on the windows and as soon as they were closed the noise was not a issue. The room was a little dated but the sheet were clean and the bed made nicely every day. I have to sleep with 3 pillows but after asking for 2 more I felt cheeky to ask for a 3rd so used the spare blankets but the maids soon realised what I was doing and provided an extra pillow which I thought was very kind. The staff in the dinning room where lovely and very attentive. We went full board and on the one occasion we didn't like the food the waiter came back with another option. The food was very much typical Lourdes food and I didn't have any complaints.

It is really the staff that make this hotel they are attentive, friendly, open and very eager to please. I would very defiantly recommend this hotel as combined my partner and I have been to Lourdes 7 years and we think this hotel really outshone the others we have stayed in before. We will be bringing a new pilgrimage group to stay next year.
