The best dining experience we have had in France so far. The restaurant isn't in the most salubrious of areas but it is definately worth a trip. At 7pm on a Thursday, it wasn't busy but filled up as we ate. We both ordered the 17 euro set menu which was fantastic value - particularly viewed against other restaurants in the area - and came with a complementary apertif. Starter was a duck and walnut salad which was generously sized and tasty. For the main, we both ordered cassoulet which was amazing, if something of a heart attack in a bowl. For dessert, we can't recommend the prune, armagnac and icecream concoction highly enough. It takes a lot to make you forget that cassoulet and this almost did it.
On top of the delicious food, the service was amazing. Attentive but not overbearing and, at the end, the manager gave us the recipie for the dessert and actually showed us how to make it.
In a city of great restaurants, make sure you check this out.
