“Not Bad, Close to Tram, Metro and Airport”
Reviewed 11 April 2013

Stayed here in late March 2013, part of a boys high school rugby tour group.

The staff worked well with us to get us into our rooms quickly, and they made rapid adjustments to room assignments. They stressed to us to be quiet in the hotel, as if we didn't already know to be polite...

Breakfast is nice, but there isn't that much to choose from. The dining room is small and depending on occupancy, you may have to wait for a table.

The corridors have automatic lighting, so don't be surprised to exit the elevator or your room into an almost pitch-black hallway. The lights come on quickly enough, after maybe 2-4 steps.

The hotel is in a visual awkward and not so pleasing location, smack on a 4-way roundabout. It is very close to a tram stop, which connects with the metro all of one stop away, allowing you to get downtown very quickly. The hotel is relatively close to the airport, which is good for travel, but there's a lot of aircraft traffic very low over the hotel. It's an easy walk down Ave de Lombez toward the center of the city, with numerous restaurants, a Carrefour store and a McDonalds within a five-minute walk.

The rooms are well appointed, with a lot of live-in amenities you don't have in a regular hotel room. There is a small kitchenette with supplies, and there are self-cleaning supplies in the bathroom as well, such as a mop. There is a TV, with modest channel selection, in each room.

Street noise can be noticed, even with the window closed, and is really loud with the window open. The opposite side of the hotel looks down onto the pool, and the railroad tracks, too, which also offer their own level of periodic noise.

This was not a bad place to stay, but if returning to Toulouse, I think I will go with something close in (albeit more expensive).

Room Tip: To avoid street noise, ask for a room on the backside, overlooking the carpark.

We were travelling with 2 small children, so we booked the 1 bedroom apartment which was perfect for us. I slept on the sofa bed on the living room and it was very comfortable. I was a little bid concerned that we were arriving at 11 pm and the reception was closed. But they send us a code for the door and our key was waiting for us on the safe. No problem at all. We had breakfast one day and it was nice, but for Eur 10/person/day we preferred to cook our own the following days. Location is good, it is not walking distance to the center but is near public transportation. We decided to take our car to the center and it was a mistake, a lot of traffic and expensive underground parking.

We have stayed in Residhome Occitania twice already.

It’s not in the city center but you can use public transport – 1 stop by tram 1 than 3 metro stops – and you are in the city center in about 15 minutes.

We have choose the hotel because of price and because it’s easier to feel yourself like home in apartments than in hotel – fully equipped kitchen, internet, flat TV, big room and bathroom, laundry room in basement, free parking, swimming pool, air-conditioning, breakfast on the first floor if you need it.

Yes, it’s a bit noisy if you open windows. And you need to call to get inside if you arrived after working hours.

Probably it would be better to stay in the city center but price for a small room was in twice higher and the room was in twice worth. So better further but better….

Room Tip: Room on the first floor was better than on the 6th

This hotel is a bit away from the city center, but worth staying there. We used to watch many test aircrafts of airbus including the big transporter aircraft from the hotel room. Hotel staff was very friendly and informative. The trouble which we had was finding the key when we checked in out of office hours.

Room Tip: If you are checking in out of office hours, then make sure you get a photograph of the place where t...

This is a good, basic option hotel. The location isn't ideal if you want to explore Toulouse although it is close to public transport. Positives: free car parking, has a kitchenette, has a coin operated laundry in the basement of the hotel (Washing 4.30€ with powder and 2€ for the dryer). The room has modern style furniture and although basic was very comfortable. Windows have very good sound insulation although with them open it was quite noisy. Staff were very friendly and efficient.

staff from reception ( kind of jerky) - told them that we had problems to access the hotel parking with the card that we used in the room -they didn't care, didn't fix the problem...and the reception was closed after 21:00 so we couldn't enter the parking...even if we had a double room we constantly received towels; slippers for 1 person. the dishwasher machine didn't work..and you "had to wash the dishes" otherwise it was a fee for 15 euro.
can use internet only on one device at a time....

room was ok, medium size; big bathroom; clean; free public parking near
internet was working ok

Room Tip: higher floors have more A/C unit noise - maybe other rooms are better; verify the card if it works a...

It is not so close to the center but is close to metro and tram stations. The rooms are clean, pretty nice and sufficiently equiped if you want to prepare and eat something in the apartment.
There are some restaurants within 10 minutes walk but they are not that sofisticated.

Indeed, it is situated at a cross-road and it is very noisy during the day and you can hear the planes all day and night. But the windows do a good job isolating the noise, I was able to sleep :).

Breakfast is fresh but not so many choices, after one week stay will have tasted everything on the menu.

The staff was nice and we were able to understand each other using English.
