Very good location, just 10 mins walk to lively centre, lots of bars, restaurants etc. Very good, friendly service. Good selection for breakfast. Would stay again. Added bonus of basement secure parking for a small charge. Could not fault the standard, I did not encounter stains or smells etc.

Stayed there for two nights in July. The location is not too bad, about 30 minutes walk to the city center. The hotel was build in the 80's and probably refurbished about ten years ago. But now it is really in need of a renovation: Stains on the carpets, smelly rooms, old windows, dirty lifts, old towels... There was no safe in the room - unbelievable in a city with one of the highest crime rates in France.

Breakfast was what you usually get in a french Novotel (meaning nothing special) but the hygienic standards seemed to be very low there: It was almost impossible to find really properly cleaned dishes, glasses and cutlery.

They have a parking for a reasonable fee. But in case you have a car bigger than a VW Golf then you should look somewhere else - the parking spaces are too tight and you risk to dammage your car.

All in all this Novotel is not what you usually expect for 150 Euros per night. I would avoid to stay there again.

This is an Excellent Quality hotel, just a 5-10 minute walk into the town centre. Staff at the Hotel were very friendly and helpful with all aspects of our stay. Breakfast at the hotel is good, Hot & Cold selection and serves throughout the morning - would suggest adding this to your booking. Pool is reasonable, with limited seating around it. But in saying that, it is the best on offer in Toulouse. Worth upgrading rooms to the Junior Suites as these are extremely spacious. All in all, this hotel is worth any extra.

These notes refer only to the wheelchair accessible aspects of this hotel. For comments on the hotel see the other reviews.

Entrance to the lobby is almost level with a short, steep ramp apparently retro-fitted to remove a small (100mm, 4") step. The ramp is no problem for wheelers.
The bar is not accessible, up two steps, but there are tables on the lobby level for drinks etc. The restaurant and pool areas are accessible from the lobby area, and there is a large fully accessible restroom (toilet) off the lobby.

My room was on the first floor and had a large double bed. The lifts (elevators) are quite small but should be adequate even for a power chair. The door to the room was exceptionally heavy and difficult to push and this, coupled with a high threshold, made entering the room more difficult than it should be.
The room itself was difficult to navigate. When I stayed here two years ago, the gap between the end of the bed and the workdesk was a little tight, but I could reach all areas of the room with no great difficulty. However, now the gap between the bed and workdesk was much tighter – I estimate 600mm or less (24”) – and I was unable to pass through. This meant that half the room was inaccessible to me, including the workdesk, the power sockets, a chair and table, and the TV and TV remote control.

The bed was slightly below wheelchair cushion height so transferring was very easy. The bedside lights and room lights had switches by the bed. The air conditioning controls were too high to reach comfortably, but I was just able to reach them. The TV controls were left by the TV out of reach due to the squeeze between the bed and work desk. I was able to access the closet which was an open one with hang-rail at a comfortable height.

The bathroom was spacious. The toilet was very high, higher than my wheelchair seat. It was so high that my feet did not sit firmly on the ground which made balancing in the toilet seat a little precarious. The handrail was well positioned. The bath had very high sides. I did not request a bath-seat. The high sides would make getting in and out of the bath challenging for someone with impaired upper body strength. The shower hose was of the handheld type, held on a movable rail mounting at a comfortable height for use. The water temperature control had a setting to fix it at a safe 38 degrees C although you could over-ride this if you wanted. Sink was easy to use with plenty of knee room underneath.

Because of the difficulties navigating the room and getting in and out of the bath I would not recommend this hotel for wheelchair users travelling alone. Ambulant disabled, or wheelchair users with walkie companions would get by okay.

Having just returned from a long weekend stay here I can say it was excellent. The staff very friendly and helpful; the rooms very comfortable, we were upgraded to executive with a balcony overlooking the park and the breakfast very good.
The location is ideal with just a short walk, through a beautiful park, to the nearest Metro station or a ten minute walk into the centre. Lots of shopping and restaurants to discover. However be prepared for one of the most expensive places you will visit!
A taxi from the airport will cost you around 30euro, a pint of beer anything between 6.5 and 9 euros!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the park.

The service was excellent. The staff somehow knew our names when we arrived. Overall this is a place that I would recommend my colleagues. The location of the hotel is very convenient and it's easy to get to and from the airport. The size of the rooms is OK, but I would prefer some sort of closet where I can put my suitcase.

And an extra plus for a "real" breakfast -much appreciated.
