“Excellent hotel”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

I booked this hotel as part of a surprise holiday for my partners 50th birthday. The hotel is perfectly situated to explore Toulouse and surrounding area including visiting Albi. The room was well appointed clean and modern. The staff could not have been more helpful especially Bérangère at the front desk.
A very pleasant stay - and reasonably priced.

Found the hotel quite easily with aid of sat nav. Super underground car park, certainly worth paying 12euros for. Very helpful manager(?) recommended restaurants and places to visit with aid of street map. He did ask us to pay when we had checked the room as he would be busy the next morning (Sunday) doing breakfasts. We were happy to do so but it was a little odd we felt. We did feel that an extra member of staff was needed at breakfast as when we went in, there were masses of uncleared tables, which was not very pleasant. Also all the fruit salad was finished and when we asked it was apparent it would not be replenished so we ate the last two fresh oranges instead. This was almost two hours before breakfast finished. Room was clean and adequate in all respects but as has been said before was a little tired. The stairs from the first floor down are bare wood and the noise of other guests descending was disturbing if you did not wish to get up as early as they did. However we chose the hotel for its position and the parking, so we were quite happy. I wish Trip Advisor had a good rating rather than average or very good.

Room Tip: Stay away from rooms 101,102 and 103 as they are near the wooden stairs unless you are an early rise...

It really is time that the rooms at the Raymond were remodeled. My double superior room had an exceptionally small bathroom, that really only worked if you left the door open. The bathroom occupied a section of outside wall that left the room with a small window set high in the wall resulting in poor natural light. The furnishings were tired.

The first room that I was offered as a non-smoking room retained the smell of cigarettes and the furniture showed extensive cigarette burns. Frankly the Ibis (nearby) would have been better and cheaper.

The staff were remarkably friendly and helpful, they cheerfully provided secure accommodation for our bikes and the breakfast was good. The location is great, central but not noisy.

Room Tip: We had two rooms and had rejected a third. I would not stay in any of them again.

We a mature couple stayed at the hotel from 5th - 8th june'14, overall we found the staff excellent, very friendly and helpfull, we ate breakfast at hotel and found a great variety of food on offer, loved the fresh 'fruity' bread especially. decor on 2nd floor a bit oldfashioned but i can honestly say otherwise the hotel and bedroom were spotless. Would def recomend this hotel to friends.

Room Tip: Our room at the back of hotel was very quiet.

The hotel is very easily reached from the main bus station which is a short walk away. They also have on site secure undercover parking, now 12 euros a day. Very easy to walk into the centre of town. Rooms are a bit small, but modern and comfortable. Not much storage space in the room if you have much luggage. Staff very helpful and willing to give advice and help.
Pretty good value for money for a city.

Stayed here one night enroute to Lourdes. Took an airport shuttle to Jean D'Arc and I was really pleased with how short a walk is to the hotel from the bus stop; literally across the street! It is also very close to the city center.

The room was of good size and comfortable. We requested a quiet room away from lift and was confirmed and given one at check in. The receptionist was very helpful in providing restaurant location and other info.

The best part of our stay is the breakfast, with a good selection of breads, croissant, fruit jam and coffee. The gentlemen John at the reception during breakfast time was very friendly,

The walk to the Matableau station cannot be more convenient and easy even with our large size luggage.

It is definitely a place to stay when visiting Toulouse.
