Located in a spectacular medieval cloister, this museum is truly a gem of the ville rose. In addition to its extensive collection of medieval art, the museum also contains a wide variety of paintings and sculpture from the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. It is a lovely museum fit to the scale of the city in which it dwells. Make it a stop next time you are in Toulouse.

The collections are wonderful and the cloister is somewhere you could sit and reflect all day. The Romaine examples of architecture were beautifully displayed and the church and organ take your breath away.

Didn't plan to go here but it was raining! What a find! Excellent museum - we spent hours there. If in Toulouse put it on your list to see.

Augustine's is a palace of delight, not just for the exhibits but for the building and the quadrants; you could dedicate a half day and not have enough. pay extra for current exhibitions (most is 7 euro) and check out posters on sale at reception

The building itself is lovely, but the main attraction today are the museum galleries. There are a lot of sculptures, but the highlight for most visitors will probably be the picture galleries.
