I stopped here twice, in February 2012, as a stopover going to and from spain.
It is situated across the river from the train station - 5 minute walk - and approximately 10 minutes walk from the main centre
It was the first time that I had used an Ibis and from what I understand from other Ibis reviews it fitted the 'brand' as you would expect.
I have to say that the hotel is very clean, welcoming and spacious throughout and the same can be said for the rooms. I had no problems with the wi-fi connection (as usual you have to ask for the connection details from reception)
There was plenty on offer at breakfast, no need to be getting up early to ensure there is something left. If you want to sleep in then there is a wonderful patisserie 3 doors down the street towards the centre.
Secure hotel car parking is available approximately 70 yards from the hotel for a reasonable price.
The staff were fantastic - especially Stephanie - who was extremely helpful with recommendations for restaurants etc. We also required room service for my father and the food was sorted out in a reasonable amount of time.
Hopefully I'll be able to visit Toulouse again sometime in the future and see more of it as it looks a wonderful city. If I do then I already know where I'll stay

We initially planned for 2 nights stay in Toulouse. Researched online and wanted to stay in Maison d'hotes Anjali. However, when we reached that B&B (at around 3pm), the door was closed and there's no one there to serve us. We were very disappointed and started to wander around to look for accommodation. Finally, we decided to stick to some reliable brand and hence ended up staying in this Ibis Hotel.
The servis is very good, staffs are very friendly and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable, but a bit too basic. Besides a TV, there's almost got nothing else. No save, no kettle etc.
This hotel is just opposite of the train station. Some might find this very convenient but I'll say it's a little bit too noisy and too many people wandering around at night.
For the price that we pay, I'll say there's nothing to complain about :)

My colleague and I were in Toulouse in November for a workshop, We paid 400 Euros for a 5-night stay at the IBIS MATABIAU. The room is comfortable and clean. However, there is nothing else in the room save for a TV. There is no boiling kettle to make a hot cup of tea. Guests are expected to drink that the coffee place at the reception area but we have to be charged. No breakfast unless we pay 8.6 Euros. It the same stuff every morning. Best to walk down the street on the left from the hotel front door and grab a bite at the patisserie there. The pastries are warm and good. There is only a single type of wash foam for hair to body. The heater in the room is centrally controlled and it is not on at night, even if it is a cold night. It is warm in the toilet because the heater is on. Internet access must be collected everyday and if you have 2 persons, must specify to the receptionist everyday, otherwise you will just be given one password for internet.Overall it was a nice stay and we can't complain much for the price we are paying for a twin sharing room.
