The location was good, only a short walk from bars, restaurants and shops. The room was clean, attractively decorated, with sink, fridge, kettle and stove provided in a small kitchenette. When we arrived there were croissants waiting for us which were delicious.

Unfortunately we didn't get a very good night's sleep on either of the nights we stayed. Every time anyone in the building used a sink, shower or toilet there was loud banging and clanking from a pipe in the corner of the room. Many of the other guests seemed to stay up very late so it was the early hours before we could actually get to sleep. This may be unique to the ground floor room, but it would certainly put me off staying again. It's a shame because otherwise it's a great base in Lille.

We arrived in Lille on the Friday afternoon. Sonia the host had communicated to us before we travelled to advise what to do on arrival. Very simple check....no need to a reception! :) The apartment is gorgeous and just like the pictures. It is very spacious and a fantastic little kitchen to make a bit of breakfast. It had a Krups coffee machine and a few condiments to keep you going. The bathroom is amazing! Very big, brilliant shower and a copious amount of hot water! The apartment is very warm and the heating was already on when we got here....just how we like it. The heating is very easy to control if you want to turn it down. The location is right in the old town and trendy part of Lille. Plenty of restaurants and bar to choose from. We took a taxi from the euro which was 8 euros but you can take the tube or bus which is cheaper.

Lille is so easy to get around and explore. A lot bigger than I had expected and so much to see. We had nice weather which made it easy to walk everywhere.

There are 2 x markets on Sunday on big flea market at R.du Marche which sells everything and one near the apartment that sells fruit and veg Pl.du Concert

All in all I would highly recommend it. We had the front apartment which was a little noisy but we are not bothered by this. If you are easily disturbed I would recommend taking other apartments.

Thank you Sonia for a wonderful stay...we will be back :)

We arrived here to find it was an apartment complex in a renovated house. Entry to the block is by door code provided by the owner. Entry to the apartment is by another code, so far so good.
The owner has emailed to tell us where the secure parking was but the cleaner had forgotten to leave the "bipper" to open the gates. We were able to park however right opposite.
The studio is very small but would make an ideal base to explore Lille old town. We only stopped the one night as a last stop for the Chunnel in the morning.
Would stay there again but would eat out as the studio is quite sparse in the kitchen department. Ok for drinks and croissants bought out.
Over all good value for money.

Room Tip: Get the secure parking we were lucky to park so near.

A great location within walking distance to cafes, restaurants, town centre and patisseries. Fantastic shopping in town also. Better than Paris. A great base from which to visit the Western Front and all things concerning WW1. Much better food than Paris. A little hard to navigate the city streets as they are narrow, one way and no rhyme nor reason behind the grid of roads. While they are cobblestone and quaint, parking is an issue. So unless you are super confident don't bother hiring a car. Book tours! The apartments had all you needed and Sonia the owner was very helpful. Kept in touch before, during and after our visit. Nothing was too much trouble. Apartments are modern, very clean however can be a little noisy as people are coming in and out of main front door to apartment block. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This was the sixth apartment we stayed in on our European trip, and unfortunately the most disappointing. We booked for 6 nights and stayed in the apartment on the third floor which was accessed by a very narrow, rickety spiral staircase. Be aware if you have luggage, as we did, this is very difficult and dangerous to negotiate. There was a strong smell from the drains in the entry. The apartment was light and airy with a good sized bathroom and a kitchen that could be closed off from the bedroom. The kitchen had some basic food items which we appreciated, and was equipped adequately. However the coffee mugs were cracked so badly and in poor condition that we opted to purchase 2 more for the apartment. The shower was good although the toilet was so close to the heated towel rail you were in danger of burning your leg and the toilet roll was behind you !! Also the bulkhead over the basin meant you constantly hit your head when using it. The apartment was not centrally heated, although there was an electric heater in the bedroom. Location was good, many restaurants and bakeries close by, and a short walk to town. WI FI was terrible, and constantly dropped out. There is a dvd player built into the side of the tv which was handy. Some brochures were in the apartment, however they were in French. A folder with basic map, info on restaurants, supermarkets, laundry etc would be most helpful, as this was provided in most other apartments we stayed in. Contact for the apartment, Sonia, was very helpful when we contacted her. I didn't feel this was value for money and would not stay here again.

Room Tip: Lower floor apartment if you have luggage but be aware of the drain smell.

Small apartment, not very luxurious, good bathroom. Rather grim entrance through an open inner court that smells of drains. Very narrow and windy stairs. TV is far too small in size. No non-French channels so a DVD player would have been nice. Beware; with all the students; noisy during the night at weekends. Very comfortable and big bed.
Very efficient and prompt communication with the owner. You enter with a 4 digit code + green validation button (!, not mentioned in the instructions). At night it's dark at the front door, impossible to see the display to enter, a light installed would be nice!
At 100 euro per night it's too expensive, you expect more luxury for that money.

Room Tip: Both with the code to enter the front door and your flat you need to press the green validation butt...

I had the pleasure in staying in Lille this weekend at the Princesse Apart'hotel. Lille is a great city, and the apartments are located a few minutes walk from the city centre. There are a number of bars and restaurant in the area; when I arrived late on Friday night it was apparent that we were in a 'hip' part of town. Parking is a pain, but free once you find a space. The apartment itself was gorgeous with comfortable beds, clean bedding and a funky feel to it. The bathroom was both stylish and functional. My only feedback would be to get the internet sorted (the wifi connection was very sporadic) and a proper enclosure for the shower. Other than that, I can't recommend the apartments enough. It was really great to have a cooker and fridge so we didn't have to eat out all the time. I will definitely be bringing my husband to stay when I get the chance. Highly recommended
