My first visit here and from the outside you have no clue to the delights within. I was really surprised and this is a true hidden gem ! Very welcoming staff and good service all round. Walking distance to all the main area of town with bars and clubs close by. It is well worth a visit and its a popular place and I look forward to returning one day again.

The hotel has been skillfully transformed by amalgamating a medieval abbey and hospice. The building doesn't look impressive from the outside but step inside and wonder along the corridors. A small chapel has been restored and used for weddings. Just outside the room lies the dining area.
There is a huge lounge area behind the reception with an excellent bar. It's a kind of covered patio. The sofas and tables are very comfortable. This area has a great ambience.
The rooms have been meticulously restored to blend old and new. The bed, was a large double, deeply comfortable with top quality linen.
The bathroom was quite spacious with a large bath and power shower.
The breakfast buffet was excellent and I would strongly recommend ordering it with your stay.
The hotel has many interesting features and gardens. It's a great place to relax and spend a few days in.

We only stayed for the night in this property but found every element to be excellent, the property has some age along with the adjoining Chapel. However don't mistake this property for shabby chic, the property has been carefully restored and has a number of modern twists (e.g. glass encased reception e.t.c). Easy walking distance to the old town and perfectly charming. The room was comfortable and high quality cosmetics provided (Hermes). Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Very relaxing and polished hotel. Former hospice and monastic background has been kept in place with some fine art and a chapel. Rooms very comfy, very nice bar area and decent breakfast. Lille is a lovely city and this is a fine hotel to be based. Must say all of the staff very helpful and friendly. Misses fitness facilities but I understood that's coming soon.

We have just shared a four night New Year Break with our friends to this great hotel. Their third such break. From comfortable bedrooms to the character of the hotel itself, we enjoyed a relaxing and really enjoyable treat. Great Service and the most amazing New Years Eve Party with Gourmet Meal. Enjoyed a lovely meal in the Bistro and numerous relaxed drinks in the elegant Atrium area. Love the nibbles! Staff helpful and attentive in all areas.
The hotel itself has numerous areas of interest within the building; a library, museum area to its past history. The chapel attached to one of the main restaurants is beautiful.
Plans to build a swimming pool and Spa will only add to the amenities of this hotel. Planned for 2014 but no building to be seen yet.
So well placed for walking into Lille, shops restaurants and attractions.
Should you be looking for something different, this hotel can offer you this.

Stayed for three nights during Christmas 2013. The building is fantastic and elegant. It is decorated with oil painting and sculptures almost everywhere in the whole building. You can find traditional oil paint and modern art design mixed. I have stayed in three different rooms for three nights. They all look a bit different for you to enjoy the settings. You will be toured to your room and offered with help of luggage. The price is more expensive while it is the only five star hotel in Lille city center. Very good service and nice staff. Strongly recommended.

From start to finish the service was incredible.
The receptionist showed us to our room via giving us a guided tour of the building. He gave us a brief history of the building.
He then showed us into our room and gave us instructions on all the appliances.
Room was not big but very beautiful, well appointed. Bathroom was a five star experience. The luxury toiletries were the best we have had.
The maid checked we had everything we needed, which was a nice touch.
The main resturant was closed as it was Sunday so we ate in the bistro.
The initial service was excellant but deteriated as the evening went on.
I would not recommend the bistro on our experience.

Our purpose for staying in the hotel was the Christmas market which was rather disappointing. But Lille was lovely and worth visiting.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the courtyard, as very quiet
