The Best Western Why is a terrific hotel suited to both the business and holiday traveller. Arriving in Lille after 30 hours of travelling from Australia, we had specific needs. These included easy access from the railway station, a great shower, a comfortable bed and helpful English speaking staff. Everything had to be easy and uncomplicated or we wouldn't have coped in our jet-lagged state. The Why looked after us beautifully. It was a short cab ride from the railway station (walkable if you're of a mind to do so). Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious with the most comfortable bed and fabulous bathroom and shower. We appreciated the Nespresso machine in our room, the luxury bathroom products and the proximity to the Old Town and local attractions. Above all, we were most grateful for the terrific staff on reception who were gracious and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We chose to have breakfast at the hotel. This was a little expensive but there was a very good selection of food available. There are plenty of cafes around the city for those who would prefer other options. We highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent friendly professional and co-operative staff. Facilities superb and location for the Centre of Lille very good and quiet.
Had an early departure and the full breakfast was available just after 6am instead of 7am.
Will definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

Room Tip: Choose rooms on the 6th floor

Hotel is a 4 star, with very good rooms, staff are very well trained a polite, breakfast is excellent. It's in the centre of town, so you can walk to bars and restaurants.
No down side, would recommend to all, whether on business or a short stay.

For a very last minute, pre-easter citytrip to Lille, we chose this hotel with egg shaped windows for it's location and excellent reviews. Very cleverly designed rooms where every inch of space has been well used without it giving a cramped feel. Great comfy bed, very, very large rainshower. Free coffee/tea and use of minibar and and a small packet of chocolates for the holidays.

Breakfast is a well stocked buffet, good espresso or cappucino, fresh crunchy breads or pastries and a nice selection of cheeses and meats. Service is friendly and welcoming.

Parking at the hotel is very limited, we used a commercial parking facility at 5 min walk. Not really a big deal. Lille is a great little city for a few days if you like Flemish towns with a French twist. And who would not like that?

Room Tip: The egg shaped man sized windows allow for great views.

Well located the hotel is in a quiet place at 5 mns walking distance from the Grand place of Lille. I was with my daugther and we selected a delux room to get 2 beds. The restroom is separate with the bathroom. The mini bar is free and the bed and the coach are really comfortables whitout any noise of the others rooms. We took our lunch and the breakfast and it was very good. A hotel to recommand.

Room Tip: We were at the room 403.
