“Perfect location in Lille”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2014

Currently spending our 3rd day here in Lille - booked a Eurostar package from London. A beautiful city with the most picturesque hotel right in the centre of the town square. A casual 15 minute walk from Eurostar station and extremely easy to find. Entrance is at the back of the square but our room 101 looks out onto, the square. Tourist information centre is a short 3 min walk from the hotel. Staff have been fantastic and extremely helpful with maps, places to visit and general info. Hotel room is quite large and bathroom is clean with shower over the bath. Excellent toiletries provided and the hotel includes a full breakfast menu from fresh fruit, English style eggs and bacon and French pastries, cheese and buns.

Room Tip: As for a room which opens onto the square

This was my third stay at this delightful hotel situated within minutes of the main stations - under new partnership l received a very 'welcome back to our hotel sir' and was shown to a lovely spacious and comfortable room - the front of house managers were as usual extremely helpful ordering taxi's recommending cafes and restaurant. I talked to the new owner's and they are planning improvements but for the price this is yes an average hotel with 'above average' hospitality Good continental breakfast and it really was nice to see the same staff over the years. l come to Lille as l am connected with the nearby village of Fromelles site of a WW1 battle where on the 19th 20th July 1916 over seven thousand soldiers lost their lives - the biggest loss of Australian lives ( five and a half thousand ) the hotel know of this and there were Australian relatives staying - they could not have been more helpful even printing off a feature l had written on the battle to give to the guests ! so kind and thoughtful . l look forward to returning soon.

Given the price it's ok. Yet no AC in a hotel room is not tolerated. Least they could do is put a fan (10euros).
Tv is so tiny and a double bed is small for a double bed!
Staff is nice and welcoming. They keep nagging for the room key though. Not far from the train station, it's like a 1 min walk!
Have you ever heard of vis a vis in France? It's when you open your window and your neighbor can see you and maybe even shake hands. This is the case in this hotel. For 20 more euros others are nearby. Depends of how much comfort you need... It's clean, right by train station and city center. So not that bad after all

Very nice Management and Staff, extremely helpful with good English spoken.
An old building, new Managers improving all facets of the Hotel.
Good bed, cosy room.
Breakfast served to your table.
From the Railway Station a couple of minute walk straight down the street in front on the right.

Though this is very much your average 2 star hotel, we found it to be clean and perfectly located for a city trip. The beds were fine and all necessary amenities are available.Rooms and hallways can be a bit noisy, but there was no streetnoise to be heard.
It's difficult to quickly stop close to the hotel in order to check in and find out where to find the parking. It's at Rue Anatole, called "Le Palais Lillois de L'automobile " just around the corner from Rue Faidherbe.

Room Tip: The elevator is somewhat of an adventure, so you might want to request a room at the first floor

This is a small clean hotel, very close to eurostar station, 2 minutes walk to city centre. Friendly staff .Stayed on the first floor ( room 105 ) didnt use the lift but lift looked quite small. Good size room, good size bathroom.Tea/coffee facilities in the room.one down side is room doors are very close to each other so it gets a bit noisy ( especially in the morning ), didnt have breakfast at the hotel as there are lots of bakeries, coffee shops around. overall its a nice 3* hotel.

Room Tip: stayed in room 105. very good size room, quiet, nice bath.

This hotel is located extremely nice in the city centre. We weren't impressed however by size or quality of the room nor sanitary facilities (very small), and the breakfast was quite poor with fresh bread, but furthermore some prepacked jam, creamcheese and nutella
