Dinner was delicious and service fine. There is an OK wine list. If back in this area, I would eat there again. It is north of the Cathedral on a rather hidden street but worth the trouble to find.

I did not think one could have such a mediocre dining experience in France. The wine bottle was opened and left on the table- no tasting, no pouring a glass, nada. I could buy the bread at any neighborhood supermarket in the states and it was served in an unlined uncovered basket. I had to ask for butter and received 2 foil wrapped pats.

The frites had to come from a frozen bag of fries, and not a high-end bag at that. On the plus side the sausage/camembert first course was delicious but everything was downhill from there.

The lights were much too bright for evening dining. All in all, this is not what I have come to expect when dining in France.

After a less than satisfying restaurant experience last night in Bayeux, we found this little gem on a side street while walking toward the church this morning. The servers were both very kind and attentive. The menu choices were very good. Upon talking with one of the servers, we learned that her husband was the chef and that all food was made in-house. The appetizer course, a house specialty, was especially tasty and original. The main course had an excellent sauce on the chicken. The dessert of creme brûlée was also very good. We would definitely return here to eat.

We used the TripAdvisor recommendaton to pick out this restaurant and found it to be definitely on the non-outstanding side, not as noted in Trip Advisor. There was nothing special about the food or service. The place was empty on a Saturday night, which should have been our first sign to move on to another place.

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel where we were staying. The food was wonderful, especially the local cheese and sausage appetizer and the duck main course. The service was very friendly. We look forward to returning.
