“Philip is an outstanding tour guide”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

Philip gave a very detailed and animated account of the entire D-Day experience. His knowledge and attention to detail brought the experience to life. The whole day, with visits to multiple sites, helped frame these historic events in a poignant way. The order of visiting the sites, with the American cemetery the next to last stop, was a perfect way of framing an understanding of the logistics and heroism and sacrifice of the Normandy invasion. All in all, it was a memorable experience with Philip and Normandy Sightseeing Tours.

“Great Day tour of Canada & US WWII sites in Normandy”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

We booked a full day tour with Normandy Sightseeing Tours for a cruise that we recently took. It was originally supposed to be from St Malo and there were not many companies even willing to drive that far to do a tour. Fortunately Lucile/Vincent were able to book us for a full private day tour and were also able to adjust when we found out two days prior to our tour that the port changed to Cherbourg.

We were met at the cruise terminal by Adrien for the four of us that ended up going on this tour. First thing was that Adrien was able to adjust the tour on the spot to visit Juno Beach/Visitor Center and the Canadian Cemetery four our Canadian friends that joined us and then we went to the American Cemetery/Visitor Center and then to Omaha Beach for lunch and then Omaha Beach memorial and finally to Point Du Hoc.

Adrien was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything we saw and his grandparents were personally impacted and dealt with everything that occurred in WWII so it made it even more personal in his explanations. It was very sobering in understanding the sacrifices that were made and seeing first hand where it all took place. It is obviously a very large area and keep in mind you will be limited to what you can see in one day.

We would highly recommend booking your D-Day tour through Normandy Sightseeing Tours!

We met our guide, Jean-Francois Cazaux at the station n Bayeaux at 1:00 and he never stopped telling us about the sites until he dropped us back off at 6:00. He was a wealth of information. My son-in-law who is a history buff said that he never heard about alot of things that were said and was impressed. Jean-Francois had a book of pictures that my son in law had never seen before. He was a great tour guide and would highly recommend him. He works for Normandy Sightseeing Tours.

“Adrien C was great guide!!!”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

We took the afternoon half day tour on May 9th. It was a very wise decision. Adrien or perhaps Adrian C was our guide and he was wonderful. He answered any and all of our questions, seemed very knowledgeable about the subject and was just a very personable guide. He had alot of photos of the area during the invasion and also shared history about the towns nearby the invasion. There is alot of walking on the tour so be well advised of that if that would be a issue for you. We found the tour very sobering and when you stand there on the beaches and realize what these men had to face that day it takes your breath away. Highly recommend the tour and our guide.

“Touring d-day sites”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

My husband @ & I took a wonderful tour with Loda yesterday of Omaha Beach. She was extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about the subject. The German bunkers really brought to life what our boys encountered on that day almost 70 yrs ago. The cemetery was very moving. The American Visitor Center was very impressive. We did return today and experienced some of the films that time did not allow on the tour. The only negative was that our guide did not wear a speaker while driving and those of us behind her could not hear her comments. Also, there was not enough time to spend in the exhibits in the Visitor Center. Another thing that should be mentioned and is not, is that there is a lot of walking and over uneven terrain. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend.
