“Average hotel at best”

This Novotel is an average hotel at best. The restaurant serves overpriced reheated meals and room cleaning can't even be bothered to place the throw pillows back on the bed, the wi-fi is crappy too, but at the end of the day this hotel is clean and comfortable enough.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the lift and private office otherwise you will struggle to sleep.

We used Bayeux as our point of departure for touring the Normandy Beaches. It was a good choice. This hotel is easy to find and provides easy driving access to the beaches and the town. Parking was easy out front of the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was quite good. We were just a few minutes drive from the museum with the Bayeux tapestry. It is worth a morning side trip to visit the tapestry.

This is our second time staying at a Novotel hotel. The room was very clean and nice. The only complaint I have about it is that the toilet room is in a weird place - right next to the main door into the room. The space between the toilet and the swinging door to close the toilet room is too minimal - even for a fit person, one has to squeeze to the side of the toilet to get this door closed.

The room was clean, the free internet service was great, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The staff were always very kind and helpful.

Easy access to see Bayeux and D-Day sites. A bit of a walk into town, but parking in Bayeux was relative easy to find and relatively cheap. The room was clean, good size, typical 3.5-4 star Novotel North American standard. Breakfast was not included in our rate. The hotel provides free parking and there was ample space. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

We stayed two nights. November 2 and 3. Liked it. Good location to see all the sights of Normandy beaches the Tapestry and Sainte Mere Eglise. Headed to Mont St Michel from here. We ate breakfast in hotel and liked it. McDonalds is really not that much cheaper plus you have to leave hotel and deal with traffic etc. Ate dinner on Sunday night as many restaurants in Bayeux are closed Sunday. Fine meal at a reasonable price. Plenty of parking. Front desk and all staff helpful. We would stay here again.

This is a typical Novotel. If you've stayed in one before, then you know what you'll get here (comfortable beds and clean bathroom and bedroom). There's an in room safe (big enough for a laptop) and a mini fridge (might be an exaggeration--it will take hours for anything to be chilled). It took us about 10-15 minutes to walk into town, and there's a grocery store just a few minutes walk away (on the way into town). If you're taking a D Day tour, this is a great hotel option. We took taxis to and from the train station, and the fare was around 7 Euros. We also took a taxi to Place du Quebec to join our Overlord Tour, and the fare was about 5 Euros. The hotel is happy to call a taxi for you, and taxis were waiting at the train station to take us to the hotel. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed here for a couple of nights is September[and have stayed here before]. Not cheap but prices vary depending on the day of the week or season. Great location for mooching around Bayeux and will appeal to Tapestry seekers and D-Day sights. Quiet and comfy rooms and plenty of car park spaces. Staff very friendly--professional and speak good English for those who need it. It has a Bistrot on site which is OK---though a 15 minute walk in to town will give you more options. That said, Bayeux isn't great for night for nightlife or good restaurants, Breakfast, like, most Novotels I think is expensive ----if all you fancy is a coffee and a pain au raisin, better walk to the Leclerc supermarket[10 mins] and buy your breakfast and take back to room and use their tea/coffee facilities. Overall a very nice, if a little pricey hotel [for us] but for the US Punters and our friends from Japan---probably seems a good deal.

Room Tip: rooms at the back [big surprise!] are quieter.
