A great location for spending a full day tour of Normandy D-Day beaches and museums is the small town of Bayeux. You can also see the Bayeux Tapestry and the breathtaking Notre Dame
The owners and front desk people are both helpful and professional.
The problems are the limitations of an older but charming hotel. There is no a/c and no elevator
if you are staying in the outer buildings. It is a great place for tour pickups. We did not dine at the
hotel since we thought prices for dinner were on the high side; menus for 38 or 52 euros.
I have no doubt food was good; just pricey.
