Bonjour Penny ,
Merci for your kind words :)

The good news is - we have your souvenirs ! We were hoping that whoever had left them might be back again, so I was delighted to read your comment & so find the owner :)

If you would like to send your address to my e-mail at darabayeux@gmail.com , citing what is in the bag ( purely to avoid someone else possibly trying to claim them !) , we would be happy to send them onto you.

Kind regards

Dara

“Tasty Croque Monsieur”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014

Warm welcome, cozy surrounding and quick service. Delicious and very filling Croque Monsieur with french fries, it took a long time to get hungry again. There were books on arious Bayeux topics so we could prepare our visit. This was one of these rare places where everything comes together just right.

“Like going home...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2014

One of the highlights of our entire trip to France, from the warm welcome, to the delicious food, to the ambiance, to the genuine hugs and great travel stories from the owners. THANK YOU!! After visiting stuffy Paris, Le Conquerant felt like going home. We can't wait to go back :o)

“Don't understand all the excellent reviews ”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 July 2014 via mobile

Very average, cost us £8.70 for a beer and a bottle of water. We had every intention of sitting down for something to eat but the menu was that limited we went elsewhere.

Bonjour Ryan,

Here at Le Conquerant we are a pub which offers simple good food at reasonable prices.

It is true , our menu is not vast as we are a small business, and want to stay with our principle of simple good food at reasonable prices.

I don't understand that you can say things were " very average" as you did not eat here.

The vast majority of people who have eaten at Le Conquerant are very happy with our menu & service and atmosphere, and often come back again during their stay in Bayeux .

If you pass through Bayeux again, we welcome you to have something to eat here, to understand why people write good reviews regarding us .

Regarding the beer, you would have had a pint of Guinness at € 6.70. Guinness is not available in many pubs in France as barrells are expensive to buy in.
With your bottle of water the total would have come to € 8.70 - euros.

We have a pint of good belgian beer at € 4.90 available if you'd like to try that the next time!

Kind regards
Dara

“Great simple food and atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2014

This was our first meal in Bayeux and it reminded me of a English pub. Very simple, warm friendly staff, and good food at a good price. The beer was cold and reasonably priced. Can't go wrong with a combination like that.
