This was a great quick stop. We spent about an hour, but seeing the tapestry and listening to the audiotape that described it was worth the admission price to me. There was a special version for children and it kept my son engaged.

Well worth the visit. The audio guide was helpful but I thought it moved too fast. Enjoyed the film, thought it explained it better.

We enjoyed our visit to the tapestry and found the English audio narration of the meaning of the tapestry well-done and useful in understanding the story it was telling. We would have liked, however, if the museum had addressed more the making of the tapestry. More on the background of the actual art and craft of the making of it and of the role that women likely played in its production (yes, there were a couple of cases with sheep's wool in it and how that became thread). While I realize there is still some mystery around its making, that doesn't mean the museum could not include what is known about weaving and embroidery at the time the tapestry was produced and women's involvement in these arts. Including such material would have made the visit more complete and meaningful.

Having just watched a TV special on the tapestry, I was unprepared for it. It is soooo long and the colors are so bright and the detail is so sharp! The audio guided tour included in the admission is very good for understanding and following the action, while it also keeps everyone moving along
I would say the Tapestry really is a #1 must see attraction in this town.

well organised, could spend an hour or two learning about the conquest. It could have been more detailed but getting people past the tapestry was obviously a key part of the visitor experience.
