As other reviewers have noted, the location is in the middle of nowhere, which is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as you can find your way there (the directions on the B and B's website were incorrect!).

We found out upon arriving that the owner of the B and B (who resides in the UK) is trying to sell the place, and it seems to show somewhat - the location and setting are lovely, but the house is in need of some TLC, updating, and some basic cleaning. Breakfast was marginal - cereal, croisant, juice and coffee.

Because the B and B is a little rough around the edges, we found it to be overpriced, but an adequate location for our travel plans.

First, my traveling companions and I ususally accept minor shortcomings, eccentricities, etc as "part of its charm", and this is a charming spot indeed out in the middle of nowhere. The proprietors were wonderful, breakfast perfectly OK, the bedroom huge, quiet, big windows, delighful parlor, and quite a library, and a wide creaky staircase only added to the charm. This big old stone farmhouse was occupied by Germans during WWII, and you almost wished the wall could talk. This next remark should not be construed as a negative - it was necessary to "go into town" for dinner, and indeed we had so much fun finding our way home late, in the dark after a long French evening meal! A treat if you do not require large hotel facilities.
