Was here with a tour group doing the D-Day thing. Bayeux is a very quaint little town and is conveniently located for a Normandy tour. This was our second time in Bayeux and we liked Le Bayeux much more than the first hotel we stayed about 6 years prior. The service is very good, the rooms are clean and have everything you need (free Wi-Fi, delicious breakfast, very convenient honor bar in the lobby). The walls are a little thin so you will hear neighbor noise and hallway noise...but most people are in bed by 11pm..so plan to go to bed when the hotel shuts down in the evening. The only other warning I can give is that this little gem probably caters to tour groups..so you could find yourself smack dab in the middle of a party you're not invited to.
The town of Bayeux is highly recommended and this little hotel is run by people who really care about their customers.
Don't expect Ritz Carlton, but do expect a private entrepreneur really doing her best to make her customers feel welcome and comfortable...and, in the end, isn't this really what makes the world go round ?More
