We were overwhelmed by Carole, our host's hospitality. Her attention to detail is amazing, as are her culinary skills. Her breakfasts made lunch unnecessary! They were home made gourmet delights!. We stayed in the spacious attic room and did not find the height an issue. The beds were heavenly! The sitting room which we shared with the other couple at the B&B was a beautiful room with tea and coffee facilities of high standard. The garden aspect was peaceful and delightful.
Could not recommend this highly enough and would love to return one day. Carole was also extraordinarily helpful with directions, restaurant and attraction tips! Safe on site parking and easy 5 minute walk down into town.

We were fortunately to stay at Clos de Bellefontaine for 4 nights in September 2013. After spending a 1 1/2 weeks traveling through France, Clos de Bellefontaine was the perfect place to spend our last nights in France.

Carole is an amazing host, and the B&B was so inviting. The downstairs lving room provided the perfect place to share in the day's adventures throughout Normandy. Coffee and tea was always available, as well as sweets. As for the breakfasts, oh my goodness! It was absolutely declicious! Fresh bread, a different cheese everyday, in addition to the fresh fruit, yoghurt, pasteries, and wonderful coffee. It was wonderful! Carole made it look effortless, but I know she was up early every morning making sure the table was set perfectly when we came down for breakfast.

The atmosphere at Clos de Bellefontaine is one of calmness and serenity. The garden is beautiful and very relaxing. Basil, the cat, always came for a visit., but never made a pest of himself.

Great location, easy walk into town. Bayeux has great restaurants, beautiful sites, and excellent shopping!

Bon Voyage, and please say hello to Carole and Jerome when you visit Clos de Bellefontaine.

A bientot!

Room Tip: Elegance room is large and only up one flight of stairs.

An excellent and very enjoyable experince. Carol and Jeromme were very welcoming hosts and even Basil the cat was very friendly.. The B&B is very comfortable and any other hotel room after staying in the large room is now going to be a bit of a let down. Very safe and secure in a very convenient location and Carole gave us some excellent tips on where to go. Probably never eaten such healthy and lavish breakfasts.

Room Tip: The elegance bedroom is amazing

Clos de Bellefontaine is the sort of house that I'd quite like to live in. Everything is tasteful, and elegant and just very, very comfortable.

We loved our room (the big family one on the middle floor), really enjoyed Carole's excellent hospitality, and appreciated the very easy walk into town. And the breakfasts? Well, they really deserve a review all of their own.

Room Tip: The family room is huge!

A beautiful house, fantastic hosts and the breakfasts are amazing.

We stayed in the Elegance room which was amazing. Carole and Jerome were so friendly and helpful. The house is in a lovely quiet location but within easy walking distance of all the sights and some fantastic restaurants. The breakfasts are the best we have ever had, we stayed for four nights and each morning we looked forward to see what treats would await us, we were never disappointed.

Room Tip: A great place to stay if you like peace & quiet.

Everything was perfect in this B&B in Bayeux. A wonderful house in a quiet street close to the center, the Bayeux tapestry and the Cathedral. The Hostess was very helpful and gave us good advice about restaurants, trips etc. And the breakfast was better than one at a 5 stars hotel. The room was big and everything arranged with sofisticated taste. We enjoyed every minute and can recommend this place.

We recently had the privilege of staying at Clos de Bellefontaine for 2 wonderful nights. Carole and Jerome were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us from picking us up from the train station, allowing us early entry into our room, printing off paperwork for us and even booking dinner for us at a superb local restaurant. The house is beautiful and every detail has been considered, from videos and travel books, local caramels on our pillows, towel warmers and a hall light that switched on when you entered the room. The room was large and beautifully outfitted. Breakfast included fresh baked bread, apple tart, fruit, yoghurt, freshly squeezed juice, choice of beverage and of course cheese and was made to serve at our preferred time. We couldn't eat it all. The location is fantastic with just a short walk to the centre of town and within easy travel to the Normandy beaches. After a noisy stay in Paris it was heavenly to wake to the sounds of birds and look out onto a beautifully landscaped garden. The only problem we had was leaving. We would definitely recommend Clos de Bellefonatine to anyone looking for a first class stay in a gorgeous home with truly beautiful people.

Room Tip: We stayed in the room on the middle floor. There was apparently a couple staying in the attic room...
