“Excellebt”
Reviewed 6 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

A lot of love went into remodeling Le Ptit Michelet! My wife and I stayed for 5 days while touring the Normandy region, and it was perfect for us: plenty of room to relax, comfortable, functional, and pretty stonework. The property continues to be improved. We could see, when we arrived, that the landscaping was enhanced compared to the (older) photos on Trip Advisor. If comfort is important, then this is the right place to go. My wife has special dietary needs, and there is a large food store just a few kilometers away... this was very important.

“Great place to relax - close to beaches and downtown Bayeau”
Reviewed 13 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We truly enjoyed Le Petit Michele - the living area is very comfortable , beds were also comfortable, kitchen well equipped. The location is outstanding - close to attractions yet out of the busy areas. Bath is split with shower/sink in downstairs bedroom and toilet just off kitchen in main living area. Only recommendation would be to add internet modem in the unit.. internet access was only available in upstairs bedroom.

“Quiet country location close to Bayeux”
Reviewed 7 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

This house is in the country and we found it to be very quiet, clean, and convenient to Bayeux. The owner was responsive to our inquiries and very good to deal with. When we booked this place it listed two bathrooms on the Trip Advisor website, however, the pictures did not show two bathrooms. We emailed the owner before arriving they confirmed it only had a shower and sink along with one toilet. Upon confirming this we decided not to cancel our booking. Upon arrival the house is not laid out that conveniently. The shower and sink are located in the bedroom on the main floor, while the toilet is located beside the kitchen. As we were two couples travelling together this configuration still worked, but it was not the most convenient. Wifi in the house was also not very good. If you were in the loft you could connect otherwise you had to stand outside to connect to the Wifi located in the owner's house adjoining this property. Also when we stayed there the weather was warm so the loft bedroom was quite warm for sleeping at night. As a result of these short comings, I could only rate the property a 3 out of 5.

“Great location for Normandy beaches and Bayeux, very peaceful cottage.”
Reviewed 2 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

My wife and I (New Zealand) and my sister (USA) had a great stay at le Ptit Michelet and found the owners easy to communicate with and helpful. The location is great, just a short drive to many local attractions including several Normandy Landing museums, Bayeux Tapestry and interesting Chateaux. Our favourite was Chateau de Balleroy now owned by the Forbes family.
When we booked the rental was offered with 2 bathrooms but we are pleased to see now that has been reduced to 1. There is a good shower room and basin attached to the main bedroom and a separate toilet off the living area. This arrangement would work very well for a couple with or without young children but did lead to logistical issues for our party getting showered in the morning.

“Outstanding Vacation Location!”
Reviewed 6 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

A wonderful vacation spot for any WWII enthusiast/history buff. Close to all five beaches. We had an outstanding vacation with our son. Tis property is near a lovely vilage with great restaurants. Sarah, the home owner, was very nice and the house was clean and cosy. Sarah was very accomidating because we arrived later i the evening. She made restaurant recommendations and even told us of a fest in the local village that evening. One of the best rentals we have stayed in.....we would stay again and again!!! Thanks Sarah for your hospitality!

“Lovely little place”
Reviewed 23 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Wonderfully bucolic location, surrounded by farm land and little hamlets, about 2 miles from the centre of Bayeux. The accommodation seems to be a converted barn (in 2012) and looks really smart inside and out. The kitchen is very well equipped, with all mod cons, including dishwasher and full size fridge freezer. To be clear though, it would be more properly described as a 1 ½ bedroom place, with one excellent double bedroom on the ground floor, with a walk-in shower and patio windows; and a (rather hot and dark) mezzanine level with two single beds in addition. There is no second bathroom, as the description seems to allude to and just one, rather oddly located loo in the kitchen. It worked just fine for our party of four plus baby, even if it slowed egress in the morning. Marc's family were very welcoming, spoke much better English than we do French, and there is lots to do within the area - the Normandy beaches are about 20 minutes away by car.
