We spend here two days, wonderful service, very cozy atmosphere and fair price for a good quality. The hotel is situated on the very quiet street, not very far from the beach. Good breakfast choice of a good quality food and the staff is very freindly. We will surely stay at this hotel during our next visit to Deauville.

Approaching this hotel on the recommended Sat Nav route made us just a little nervous that the location was truly `off piste` but in fact it is perfectly situated between the beach and the famous Deauville Horse Racing Track.
We have visited Deauville on previous occasions and stayed at both of the Barriere Hotels but at Euro 380 per night they were somewhat prohibitive to our budget. The Augeval is nothing less than 3 Stars and the rooms are perfectly adequate being clean and tidy with decent bathrooms and separate toilets.
The beds are comfortable and linens and towels are clean and fresh and towelling robes are provided for use by the pool, which was a big bonus.
Our accommodation was a garden room which taking into account the gorgeous weather made it simply perfect as the heated pool was just a few steps away and was rarely used.
The Hotel serves breakfast at the fairly high price of Euro 13 per person but the quality and selection of dishes available made it well worth it and the bread was sublime.
A 10 minute walk is all it takes to get you into the heart of the town and if you have the energy its worth strolling another 15 minutes or so into Trouville to get a true sense of the contrast between these seaside resorts.
The beach is a right turn out of the hotel and also a 10 minute stroll.
The Augeval is unpretentious and ticks all of the boxes for a pleasant stay in this very upmarket part of France.

So we came to this hotel cuz it was look like something pretty and not expensive on the photos... But!!! The price on booking.com was 137€ per night, woman on the reception told us that she can give us minimum 153€, we said ok, then we will book it by booking.com and pay less, but you will pay a commission for them! She told us to wait, and after 2 minutes, while we were standing in front of her, she changed (!!!!) the price on the booking.com on 153€!!! It's unbelievable!!! And when we told her about that she was lying to our face try to diny that!!! The price is not so much matter for us - the attitude that is important. So of course we left this [--] hotel with such service!

This is our second stay here and I will not return again. Our (lack of) welcome was unparalleled as we were greeted by a sullen and unsmiling receptionist. Most off-putting. We had booked a superior room and it definitely was not superior. Very little place to unpack our clothes. On complaining we were met with a shrug and little help. We spent most of our time out of the hotel and did not spend any extra money there. Most upsetting as it was not recognised that we were returning customers within 9 months.

The hotel was perfect for a trip to the race course for a couple of days. Close to the track, the beach and shopping. The staff was incredibly friendly, the breakfast was lovely and the room was comfortable and clean.

We stayed four nights and had a family room, which was really well layed out for a family of four.

The hotel is in walking distance from the beach, the racecourse and the shopping/restaurants at the city center. There is plenty of free parking at the church across the street.

The pool and outdoor lounge area is smallish, but well layed out. The pool is heated.

Breakfast is typical French fare

My husband and I stayed here recently for two nights and glad it wasn't longer. The room was a good size but overpriced in its present condition. The net curtains were very stained, the carpets old and tatty, and generally speaking the whole room needed a good overhaul. Handheld shower in a plastic whirlpool bath, wow how old is that? The paint on the doors was flaking and the wallpaper approaching room 104 was so old and dirty. They even charged 14euros per person for a very uninteresting breakfast on top of 220 euros for the room. The cereal consisted of coco pops or rice krispies, both kids cereal as far as i was concerned and not worth it. Better to walk to a cafe for coffee and croissant. The only good thing about this hotel was the fact that you could walk to the racecourse and into the town for shopping and afternoon tea so location is perfect. There are some much better hotels in Deauville, a little more expensive but worth it. I would not go back.

Room Tip: not sure there was one!!
