We didn't plan on visiting the church, but happened upon it during a walk. I am glad we did, The cemetery is peaceful and nestled into the hillside. The memorial to the British Airman is touching and Monet's grave is beautiful. The cemetery gave a real sense of Giverny past to present.

The burial place for 7 young airmen shot down in World War Two near Giverny and commemorated with a poignant memorial.

This is an absolutely charming place. The grand churches are amazing, but this is a small, country church with an interior that you will long remember. With the tributes to WWII heroes and grave sites of community notables, the feeling is of the people who fought with "The Greatest Generation ," and those who prayed for safety for many generations. That I visited on the day after D-Day, certainly helped to have a somber sense of place.

We wandered into the tiny church and there was music playing which gave the place such nice atmosphere.
The cemetery is sweet with memorial and separate graves of the airmen and also Monet and his familys' graves. I thought the grave of the person who set up Monets house as an attraction was a bit ostentatious considering its size and placement in the cemetery but I guess he has made the town a place to visit.....
