"La Pluie de Roses" is the ideal place to stay when visiting Giverny. Philippe and Elizabeth made us feel so welcome in their lovely home. Their garden is absolutely enchanting and the breakfasts provided were delicious, varied and beautifully presented. Much thought and care had been taken to make our stay comfortable. I have recommended this place to all my friends.

We stayed at this lovely place last week and were most impressed.
lovely room downstairs was everything you could want and was nice and cool on an unusually hot spring day!

Garden has many places to sit and relax and the owners were very helpful and eager to make our visit an enjoyable one. We own several holiday /guest accommodation in Australia and could not fault their hospitality and rooms.

We would stay here if we were to visit the area again.

Thanks for such a nice stay.

Room Tip: we stayed in the downstairs room with little kitchen and access to the garden which was nice . Did n...

My mother from Western NY, and I from Maine (USA), were in France visiting my brother and we stayed at this B&B for three nights. It was beautifully decorated and landscaped. It was clean and comfortable. The owners were gracious including the two very well-behaved dogs. What a peaceful, calm setting with a lovely breakfast !

We have just returned to England having spent two nights at La Pluie De Roses. It was a wonderful experience and Elizabeth and Philippe could not have been more welcoming. They are a charming couple and we felt their beautiful home was our home. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast scrumptious, we were reluctant to leave. If visiting Giverny this is the place to stay and we will be returning.

Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent

Just returned to the U.S. from our stay at La Pluie de Roses. It was a beautiful and relaxing experience for my wife and I. Elisabeth and Philippe are totally charming and welcoming hosts, making you feel like their beautiful home is your home.

The location is perfect. Everything you want in Giverny is just a short stroll away and without the masses of "tourists" being part of your private time. The house, our bedroom and the gardens are so well done that we were "at home" comfortable from the moment we arrived.

Before our arrival, La Pluie de Roses offered to assist us with any thing we might care to do while in Giverny. Philippe arranged and had Monet tickets for us, prior to arrival. No waiting in that forever line to buy them. Evening reservations for a wondeful dinner at Hotel Baudy were waiting for us. During our afternoon "down time" in the gardens, Philippe thoughtfully brought out some wine, water and snacks. Then he spent time with us just talking about families, travels, all those sort of things that friends talk to each other about.

We had an early departure from CDG and asked Philippe not to make breakfast, just coffee. He was up at 6:00 and set up an enormous breakfast just for the two of us. Sort of like at Mom's house. Count on it being done anyway.

We came away with nothing but positive experiences and lasting memories from our stay at La Pluie de Roses.

Bill and Therese.

Like another reviewer, we felt that Jennifer's 'Terrible' review was totally off base with this property. As a reader of who- dun-it mysteries, you got to imagine there's a back story with her. By the way, you do get keys to your rooms.

We stayed 2 nights here in early April to visit Monet's garden.
The room was delightful and warm as it was quite cool outside and there was onsite parking.
The Hosts were a lovely couple who were extremely hospitable and the breakfast beautifully served and with plenty of variety. The photographs on the website are exactly what it is.
We would happily recommend this B&B if you want to stay in a lovely comfortable
place a short, 10min, walk from Monet's house and garden.

I had an amazing experience at La Pluie de Roses with my family and friends. We were 5 adults and 2 little girls (one and a half and two and a half years old) and Phillip and Elizabeth welcomed us the best way possible. The house is lovely and very charming. The rooms are very confortable and clean. Also the bathroom, very clean and good shower. There was a baby cot waiting for my baby, just like we arranged before. The rest of the house is just lovely, full of antiques, pictures and charming details (as Elizabeth herself!). And the breakfast was served at this balcony (La verrière), wich made every morning very special. Elizabeth and Phillip were always around to make sure we were very confortable. We asked Phillip to mantain the heating on during the nights (it was not winter cold, but mostly because of the little girls) and he immediattly attended. Also, he was always helping us to reserve restaurants and making plans for the day. They are vey nice and good companies. As the location, the house is very close to the Monet Foundantion. We enjoyed every minute there and can´t wait to come back.
