La Pluie de Roses

Quite possibly the best B&B I have ever had the opportunity to stay in. My breath was taken away after seeing my room and the property. Philippe and Elizabeth were perfect hosts, not to mention their two most adorable dogs who greeted us each morning and evening. Just a short walk to nearly restaurants and Monet's Garden and museum. Bring a book or borrow one to read in their enchanting reading room.

Three of us stayed in this beautiful house, beautiful large room, our own patio. Hosts were wonderfully friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Unbelievable setting. Best France experience ever. Would love to live there!

We had a wonderful stay at La Pluie de Roses. The house and garden were spectacular, the guest room was immaculate and romantic and the owners were very hospitable, helpful and kind.
We would highly recommend staying here if you want a wonderful weekend to remember in Giverny.
Thank you Phillipe and Elizabeth.

Just as living in a warm home, also like in a fairy tales. The room was decorated so nice ,with books ,music and sunshine around. Do not miss the breakfast close to the fireplace, all the details show that the owner is high level in art and with sweat heart to share.we are sure we will be there again when we come to Giverny next time.

Perfect! The proprietors are warm, generous and very helpful. Loved our room, which was quintessential French Country. There is a lovely garden out back or one can sit inside and enjoy if it should happen to be rainy. The price was reasonable; le petit dejeuner was very nice. It is a long walk to Monet's Garden in Giverny so be prepared and have good walking shoes.

We read about La Pluie de Roses in Lonely Planet and of course here on trip advisor before making our reservation. After viewing the place on the internet, we emailed to see if a room was available for the time we were looking to go. The owner, Phillipe, responded immediately and offered us a room of our choosing.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Phillipe. He was so accomodating, and fixed us tea. The room was spectacular, secluded, huge, and just the tranquility we wanted and needed after three day in Paris.

The B&B is a nice, but manageable walk to Monet's house and gardens. It 's actually a treat to make the walk and see all the other residences and gardens.

In the morning, Phillipe had breakfast ready for us on the back sun room. He really treated us, a real French breakfast, various yogurts, local yogurts, various local cheeses, figs, dates, bananas, baguet, croissant, orange juice, grapefruit juice, cafe, tea and probably more.

It was at this time that we got to spend a little bit of time with Phillipe and his wife Elizabeth. And, oh yeah, before I forget, we had the pleasure of being able to hear them play music and sing from our room. Simply amazing. Phillipe and Elizabeth are truly remarkable people. There living area is decorated amazingly, the classical music they play is straight from heaven. Their books on art fill the house. Just truly a part of our France experience. We could not have had a better time.

We stayed at this lovely B&B for 5 nights and had the most relaxing time. Philippe and Elisabeth were so welcoming and helpful. The house is wonderful and the gardens so beautiful. Ideally situated for walks through Giverny, visits to the garden and day trips out. The accomodation was beautiful, very clean and most interesting. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: the suite gives additional room and private entrance onto the garden
