We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. The B&B is beautifully decorated in French vintage style and the garden is just lovely. The kids loved running around hiding in it. Philippe and his wife make you feel most welcome. The village is beautiful and we could walk to Monet's gardens from the property. There are plenty of eateries in town too and a short drive into Vernon.
I would highly recommend this place and would happily return.

My husband and I wanted to stay near Monet's garden so we could get an early start. La Pluie de Roses was a perfect choice. The house is full of antiques and there are lots of interesting pieces in all the rooms. Our suite comprised of a very large room and very large bathroom. The bed was so comfortable. Philippe could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. We were able to get entrance tickets for the garden from him and he also recommended a nice little restaurant on the river where we had a delicious evening meal. La Pluie de Roses is a perfect addition to your stay in Girverny.

After a long plane ride, La Pluie de Roses was a most welcome respite. Our charming room furnished with vintage pieces and a most comfortable KING size bed was large so that we could reorganize our luggage from air travel. We had an airy and light sitting room en suite. Breakfast was delicious and served on antique porcelain place settings. Philippe and his wife, Elizabeth, could not have been more pleasant and helpful. They even sold us tickets to the Monet Gardens and Home which saved us standing in line...a definite bonus. Would recommend highly.

Room Tip: Pastorale is a lovely suite.

We have just stayed for 2 nights at La Pluie de Roses in Giverny not far from Monet's Garden.. We stayed in the Pastorale suite which was very spacious and most comfortable. Elizabeth and Philippe were extremely helpful, and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

We stayed with Elizabeth and Philippe in the Arlequinade room during June 2014. The room and bathroom were very clean and the twin beds very comfortable. The garden was a peaceful place to wander in and the frogs very entertaining. The walk down to Monets garden and the many restaurants and shops was a delightful part of the day. Our hosts were wonderful and helped us out on several occasions during our four day stay. If you want to experience the true French countryside hospitality then this is the place for you.

We were group of plein air painters in Giverny for a few days. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at La Pluie---it was quiet, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom clean and modern. Our room had space for one to four people, which is perfect for a family. We had three people and had plenty of room. Breakfast was lovely---there was lots of fresh (and excellent) coffee, breads, cheeses, meats, yogurt, etc. We ate up on the sun porch of the Chauveau's home. A minor drawback is that the sitting area of the room is also where two beds are. So if it is raining or you want to sit around and talk, you need to use the beds as chairs. The house is within easy walking distance of Monet's place as well as several restaurants. The garden is AMAZING and has places to sit and walk and contemplate nature! The Chauveaus were accommodating and very welcoming.
