I loved this place, I love Marie and Gilbert.
The place was French country. Simple, all you need, right there. And a nice back yard to eat cheese, drink wine. Walking distance to nearby attractions.
Marie helped sew a tear in my sweater. It felt like we were staying with family, hey were so interested in helping us make the best of our trip.

This review is long overdue and we've been meaning to sing our praises for Marie and Gilbert's charming B&B for some time. We had the pleasure of being Marie and Gilbert's guests a little over a year ago (August 2011) and our stay there remains one of our most treasured vacation memories. First, Giverny is an incredibly beautiful little village that not only features Monet's home and gardens but also a fantastic impressionist art museum. The village also has several impressive art galleries and antique shops. But what made our stay there truly special and memorable was the warmth and gracious hospitality that Marie and Gilbert provided. They were so friendly and attentive and their lovely home and gardens were the perfect place to relax in. We will have to post pictures of the wonderful breakfast they provided in their garden - fresh croissants, homemade preserves, ripe mirabelles, fragrant tea - all beautifully served on china in a charming little gazebo. Marie even greeted us each day with afternnoon tea and freshly baked, heart-shaped brownies. We felt very cared for and will always remember their generous hospitality. We highly recommend staying here!

Well visiting Giverny has always been a dream for us so when we had a chance to do so on a recent trip to France we jumped at the opportunity. Our first choice of accomodation was unfortunately closed so we sought alternative accomodation and came across Marie and Gilbert Therin's B&B in Giverny at 43 rue Claude Monet Giverny. The accomodation was perfect as were the breakfasts. As to Marie and Gilbert they are two of the nicest people anyone could wish to meet and truly bent over backwards to help us see as much of Giverny as possible. The room was large and comfortable with private access and good facilities. Walking distance to all the sights. What more could you ask for. Try them out you will not be disappointed. They even had tickets for Monets garden and the museum waiting for us so we did not have to wait in line.

Marie and Gilbert greeted us with enthusiasm after our long flight and drive. The comfortable queen bed provided a l-o-ong night's sleep. and we woke to a gourmet spread home cooked by the couple. Their home is filled with works of art, many created by Marie, and the gardens are profuse with flowers nurtured by Gilbert. They had secured our tickets for Monet's gardens and home as well as the museum/gallery. It was a perfect way for us to start our vacation in France.

Staying overnight in at Marie and Gilbert' s Therin B and B is the best way to feel the full warmth of this small special town. It is a 10 -12 minute easy walk to the museum and Monet's House. They have one room with a private entrance and private attached bathroom with a good shower. Bed linen and towels are of very good quality, and the room is clean and quiet. There is a hot pot with tea, instant coffee, bottled water, and some fresh cookies in the room. The bathroom has a hair dryer, and towel warmer. TV and wifi also available. The owners are vey helpful and will also assist with dinner reservations, if you like. Marie has learned quite a bit of English, though knowing a little French is helpful. Her breakfast was the best we had on our travels. Excellent bread, the best homemade jams and wonderful cheese.

Everything the other reviewers have said is true. Marie and Gilbert are wonderful warm hosts, and did everything to make our visit comfortable. They gave informative advice about what to see and do in the area, and of course the breakfasts were outstanding. I will dream about Marie's fig confiture for a long time!

What can you say when everything ticks all boxes, the accommodation, the breakfasts and they really were feasts, the attention to detail were first class, could not have been bettered. The hosts Marie & Gilbert were perfect, even to the point of allowing a very late checkout and driving us out to a historic château for a look around and then coming back to pick us up and drive us to the train station.Bravo Marie & Gilbert we would come back to you in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Only 1 Room but everything you would want!
