“Interesting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

We were lucky enough to be in attendance when the locks were being used. Hard to believe this bridge was built at least 50 years ago and the only change to it has been the bridge surface. Very interesting, but breezy. Pelicans were awesome, as were the fish that were jumping that day.

“Short drive thru Lockport and the Dam”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2013

Lots to see here, the dam in action. Lots of people fishing off the shore and on boats.
Pelicans everywhere, hoping that someone will clean their fish and leave some for them. They can be quite daring at times, coming and stealing a whole fish, so watch where you leave any catch.
Beautiful drive down River Rd in St. Andrews Mb.
Here is a link to a map in case you want to drive yourself. I started off at Kildonan Park on Main St, as it is a beautiful park to see in the summer time. http://goo.gl/maps/bpL4U
You can also stop in for a bite to eat either at Skinners under the dam, or go over the bridge to Henderson Hwy and the Half Moon Drive Inn. http://goo.gl/maps/mrLrx

Very interesting to see the Lock and Dam. Nice park, tons of pelicans and people fishing downstream. A nice visit.

“Afternoon excursion”

Not much there really, other than the locks, but it's a nice drive from the city. A pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

“Awesome Fishing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2012

St. Andrews Lock and Dam features a historic site and museum, several dining options and several park areas near the river. There is a great farmers market every Sunday from 12-5 in the summer months. This is a popular fishing spot for both locals and tourists alike.
