“Not the best choice in Honfleur”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 May 2014

We noticed quite a few good reviews about this restaurant.....service was very good - far better than the food. The steak was average and half cold and the crepes for dessert left much to be desired. Unfortunately this is what happens in tourist spots with a captive audience. Not recommended.

“Average Food , pleasant location, good service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2014

On a recommendation, we tried Le Crystal. We had the most expensive selection. The entrees Lobster and crevettes( prawns) tasted the same. Strong handed butter sauce, as did my Scallops for main course. However my wife's beef with roquefort sauce was excellent. The meat was cooked very well. The cheeses selection was good. The portions were good size so we did not stay for desert. The house wine is not up to the usual French standard. The service by the waiter was friendly and efficient. I would not return because the food was far from subtle in flavour.

“Good local food at a great price with excellent service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2014

We arrived around 8 pm on a Thursday, the restaurant was pretty full. We were immediately given a table (with a smile). We chose the 16.50 Menu - starters of mussels and fish soup, both were excellent with plenty to share. For mains we both choose the skate wings - very well prepared in butter and caper sauce. We enjoyed a good and reasonably priced carafe of sauvinon blanc. Dinner was finished with four different local cheeses - again the portions good - we certainly left impressed and satisfied.

“Lovely atmosphere and good food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 February 2014

We stayed overnight in Honfleur and a lot of the water side restaurants were quite expensive.
This restaurant is down a side street at the back of the shops a little hidden away.
It does a very reasonable 3 course meal with a good choice of food - I had the pasta.
if you are on a budget and want good food this is an ideal choice.

“worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 October 2013

Very good food for the price. We had the 12.50 menu and the desert choice included a warm apple tart with caramel sauce which was very tasty. Friendly service and good atmosphere.
The bottle of Muscadet Sur Lie 19 euros. This is a little less than in other comparable restaurants. - The only downfall of eating along this coast - the wine could be less expensive!
