“A little gem in the heart of Honfleur”
Reviewed 20 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

We stayed for five days in November. We were two couples and two dogs. We were going to take the two bedded apartment but Steve recommended we take the one bed down stairs as well. The apartments are small. The two bed second room is accessed through the first which is an issue. The other issue is the stairs which is steep but caused us no problems. However it's just a few minutes walk from the town centre which is fabulous. We'll definately be back

“Great town centre position”

Within walking distance of all town amenities and easy to get to Normandy beaches. Although this property was very compact, it had everything we needed for our weekend break in Normandy. The stairs were very steep so not suitable if you have mobility issues. The owner Steve was very helpful and responded swiftly to my questions by email and Annette who met us was lovely; very chatty and helpful. The kitchen doesn't have an oven, I assume the microwave is also an oven but I never managed to work it out. A good excuse to eat out in one of the many restaurants. Free wifi was brilliant too! Not the most luxurious place I've stayed in but good value for money and a great base for seeing Honfluer and beautiful Normandy.

Honfleur is a beautiful little town and the perfect spot to visit the coastline or Le Harvre. Steves Appartement is a wonderful relaxing place. Its near the harbor and its shops (around the corner), a supermarket (5 minutes) and the beach (15 minute Walk). The stairs are a bit rampant, but were no problem for us. Also Steven and Anette are very kind people! When I return to the Normandy someday, I will definetely try to stay at his appartements.

“Perfect”
Reviewed 16 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We really enjoyed our stay in Honfleur, the accommodation was perfect for us, we were right in the town only a stroll to the shops and the beautiful harbour. The apartment was very clean and perfect for 4, the lady who met us was very welcoming and gave us great advice on places eat locally. We were within easy driving distance to the D-day landing sites and because it was the 70th anniversary when we were there the place was buzzing with parades , loads to see and do in Normandy and Honfleur is a great base to work from.

“Great location but not baby friendly”
Reviewed 2 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We had a great time in Honfleur and the Fisherman's House provided us with the perfect location to base ourselves. We booked at the last minute and the whole booking process and key pickup was so easy.
We were traveling with our 10 month old baby and did find it a bit difficult as this accommodation is not child friendly (for mobile babies/toddlers). The stairs are very steep and accessible and there were many nick-knacks and breakable items on the shelving unit.
We also found that the shower had no been cleaned very well and the general floor cleanliness was not great (which was probably more more noticeable for us with a crawling baby).
Overall, we had a wonderful 4 days in Honfleur and for it's location and value for money, The Fisherman's House was great.

“great experience! Nice, sunny and quiet location”
Reviewed 3 April 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Nice, sunny and quiet location, right into the cobbled historical streets.
Stairs are a bit steep and the apartment is not huge, this is however compensated by the friendly welcome, the full equipment and the free wifi which made my son happy.
