We stayed at La Ferme St. Simeon for 6 days in May while touring the Normandy region. We were booked into another Honfleur hotel that proved inadequate for us. We called Ferme St. Simeon to see if they had a room. Not only did they have a room, but the manager came to pick us up! Talk about service!! We had a Junior Suite overlooking the river and estuary, beautifully furnished with every amenity we needed. A very special bonus was waking each morning to the call of owls and cuckoos! We only had time to eat in the restaurant one evening, but found the food and service first class. If we ever go back to Honfleur, Ferme St. Simeon will be our first reservation!

Dear Tomstrophy,

I red with a great pleasure the very nice comment you shared on Tripadvisor.
All the staff and myself are glad to know you enjoyed your lovely junior suite in the historical main house, the view on the river, and its beautiful furniture.
I was quite happy to pick you up to the hotel, and all the staff is delighted you appreciate the high quality of the food and the service.
I really wait for your call, on your next trip to Honfleur, to be your first reservation.
Best regards

My partner and I had the pleasure to stay here for 1 night in April. Located walking distance to the center of Honfleur, this place is an oasis. The grounds were amazing and there is a very luxurious spa. The rooms were very large by any standard and decorated marvelously. I wish we could have stayed longer. My only criticism with the hotel, and I make this reluctantly because it is so exquisite otherwise, is that the restaurant prices are astronomical for what you receive. I cant help but compare it to a meal we had at another chateau we stayed at, Domaine Hautes Des Loire which was also very expensive but completely blew us away. My suggestion - stay at the hotel yes, but perhaps eat in town.

Just a 5 minute walk into town. The perfect location for a visit to this lovely town. For those visiting for the first time, a word - it is very very touristy, with an abundance of restaurants and bars. Keeps the prices keen I'm sure. The surrounding area is within easy reach and the Normandy landing beaches an short drive. The hotel is extremely well turned out with clean, well kitted out rooms. We were welcomed in the drive by the bellman who not only arranged to move our bags but parked our car. Reception was welcoming and made us feel at home. Our room was at the top and was cleverly set in a 'loft' so we had sloping ceiling. with the bed on a mezzanine. Sounds weird but it worked well with nice views over the river. Restaurant was superb, menu wasn't extensive but the food was prepared to a very high standard. I always take advantage of the knowledge of the sommelier and his advice on our first day produced a very nice wine. Unfortunately he was off on Sunday and I missed him. This is a 5 star hotel and it shows. Extremely professional staff. Well done everyone and thank you.

Room Tip: Approach the hotel from the west and not through the town of Honfleur. Less stressful by far.

The hotel is elegant without being too formal. The reality is that across the estuary from Honfleur is very industrial, so if you stay in a hotel with amazing views on this part of the coast, that is what you see! Personally for us, the setting was great. The spa is nice if very slightly dated. The room was excellent (room 27), triple aspect windows, huge, nice seating and dining area etc. We visited with our baby and dog and there was plenty of space for us all. Breakfast is generally high quality.

The restaurant is fabulous and the set menus are reasonably priced. Drinks are expensive but no more so than you would expect for a high end hotel.

The stand out part of our stay though was the manager (I wish I had taken his name but forgot) who met us in the drive, sorted out everything we needed with no fuss and bother (with a dog and baby there are lots of things that need sorting!). He was absolutely class leading. Finally, almost all the staff are extremely helpful and always smiling.

We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: 27 is perfect

Spent a long weekend at this hotel at the beginning of April - super location five minutes walk from the fishing port of Honfleur. The hotel needs to have a "receptionist/maitre d'" at the main door of the restaurant - people walking in at breafkast had no idea where to go or where to sit. Ate in the restaurant on the Sunday - very good food but incredibly expensive - we spent just over €500 for dinner for the two of us - a half bottle of white wine was €90 - and that was at the cheap end. Housekeeping could do with a bit of lift - we were left with one bath towel between the two of us on one night - took hours to get another one. There was a fire escape outside of the French doors to our room - we arrived back at the room to find the doors open so anyone could have walked in. The swimming pool/spa area was lovely and very clean; the staff were very courteous and helpful.

Room Tip: We stayed in the spa area which was very quiet.

This is a perfect hotel with very friendly people. The setting, garden and spa are splendid. You have a parking and the hotel is only 5 min walking from the centre of Honfleur.
The restaurant has a star Michelin and is worth it. The only negative point is that the prices of the wines are extremely expensive.
Maybe they can put some free water in the rooms and a coffee/thea pot ???

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are worth it...

More than a century after being frequented by impressionist painters seeking inspiration from the magic light of the Côte Fleurie, the Ferme Saint Siméon still seems to still be nourished by tender nostalgia. Facing the Seine river estuary, the rooms full of noble furniture, woodwork, luxurious fabrics, comfort and colours are spread like flower bouquets across the farm, the central building and the ‘Press’.Beneath the garden’s apple trees or in the refined decor of the gastronomic restaurant, guests will be delighted to discover the regional cuisine, after indulging in a relaxing treatment at the Spa, peacefully overlooking the sea. ... more   less
