For having booked it at the last minute we got a good deal (109€ the night plus stay taxes) so we were not expecting too much for this town. The hotel itself is old and kitch, but well kept. It is well located, 5 minutes by foot from the port. The backyard is big and pretty.

As we were staying with our 18 month-old son, we got upgraded to a (much) bigger room (#203) located under the roof. It was gigantic for the three of us (4 adults can sleep). Where the hotel could do better: no elevator which is not such a problem, but being pregnant and traveling with a 1 and a half baby can be quite challenging ; the window in the bathroom did not open, which made it impossible to have some air circulating ; no AC ; no shutters or opaque curtains on the window (!) so we woke with the sun (and the street noise as we had to keep the window open because of the heat) ; and finally, no Wifi !!!

I booked three room with the condition that they could be cancelled without charge up to one day before the date of the stay and gave my credit card details to secure the booking.Tthis hotel charged my credit card with the full cost of the stay at the time of booking and then charged a further large sum a month later. Despite many phone calls and emails, and providing all the evidence and information requested, they have not refunded these sums. Eventually the refund was made by booking.com through whom the booking had been made. DO NOT GIVE THIS HOTEL CREDIT CARD DETAILS. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

We have stayed here four times over the years and still rate it good value for money. The location is ideal and there is adequate parking - although this last time the electronic gates were not operating and had to be opened manually. This meant that the parking was not secure even though we were still charged for it! The hotel itself has plenty of character and is very clean although it could do with a lick of paint here and there and some new carpets. The staff on reception were extremely helpful and spoke good English.

Room Tip: Be aware there is no lift.

Two rooms were booked.
How this hotel was awarded 3 stars is beyond me, the inspector must have had a white stick and a dog. Path leading to main entance, had loose, broken tiles, some of which were sticking up, creating a trip hazard. One section had been covered by a piece of matting. Rooms were small, tatty, with torn/damaged wall coverings. Showers had mould around bottom, on two occasions we had no hot water, and had to call reception. Thw w.c seat was broken, the T.V in the room did not work, one room had no shelves in the bathroom or shower. The wardrobe looked as it had been bought from a boot sale, damaged with peeling paint. I would have preferred to have stayed in a formulae one motel. It is grossly overpriced.

Room Tip: Avoid like the plague

Apart from its close location to the port centre (an approx. a 10 minute walk), this hotel was overpriced and, with a 3 star rating, extremely overrated.

In the absence of a lift, our room on the second floor was accessed only by a climb up two very steep curving flights of stairs. The room was very shabby. The TV didn't work. There was no Wi-Fi. The shower in the ensuite bathroom was difficult to control in order to get a constant temperature. The ensuite itself was far too small with no hanging space for towels nor storage space for our own toiletries. The only positive hing about the room was it's view overlooking the magnificent garden to the rear of the hotel.

We arrived during torrential rain and were amazed to discover that the hotel did not have a functioning restaurant nor a bar (despite being billed as a 3 star) . Accordingly, we had to eat out and so got soaked.

We were also annoyed being refused a space in the secure gated car park compound despite there being space available.

We would not use this hotel again if back in Honfleur.

The best thing about this hotel is its location, only about a ten minute walk into the town. We had a de luxe double room which was large and bright with double aspect windows but there were lots of small details which needed addressing. For example, no extra pillows were provided. We asked for some but they were not forthcoming so my husband had to collect them himself. There were crumbs on the carpet and the light over the washbasin in the bathroom didn't work. Some nice ornaments but they were covered in dust. Breakfast was pretty average. I think the staff could probably do with some more training. If we visit Honfleur again it's unlikely we will be staying here.

Superbly located, minutes from the harbour, but would I stay here again? Sorry, but no. My travel companion, who had booked the room, had specified that we wanted twin beds, and we arrived to find a double bed; the gentleman on duty at the time gave us a family room instead, grandly proclaiming that he would not charge us extra for it - what, for giving us the separate beds we had asked for in the first place? Decor rather tired, to put it mildly - especially the copious amounts of plastic flowers, which there's really no need for when there seems to be a florist on every street! I would definitely not recommend this hotel if you have limited mobility or heavy luggage; there is no lift, and the "family room" we got was located at the top of two flights of narrow spiral stairs - don't know about you, but if I had small children that would definitely put me off. There didn't seem to be many people eating breakfast at the hotel, which could be explained by the fact that they charge ten euros for it whereas you can walk down the street and pay half that! Oh, and like several other French hotels I have stayed at, they mention having private parking - one of the reasons we chose to stay there - but what they don't tell you until you get there is that most of their guests actually park on the street, because their private parking is an extra ten euros a night.

Room Tip: Avoid altogether if you have heavy luggage or are less mobile - there is no lift and the stairs are...
