“A nice hotel, value for money”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

As my review title says, Kyriad Le Havre center is a nice hotel and definitely a value for money. It is located on a main street, right across the docks,. It is close to the main train station and close to the city center (about 15 minute walk). Parking is considered safe and there is a Mac Donald's restaurant next door (open until 1am on Fri and Sat) for those hungry. The receptionist was very helpful, she knew english (for those who do not speak french). The rooms were clean, nice beds, Flat TV, nice bathrooms. I will choose Kyriad hotel on my next trip for sure!

My Son and I were one of the 8 that had items stolen from our room. These items were inside clothing inside our case. The hotel manager was far from helpful, saying they would start to investigate on Tuesday? We were leaving the hotel on the Sunday? Our tour Guide and tour company were ' spot on ' and it is they that have helped us. The police stated that this was clearly an " Inside Job ".. The evening meal was the same choice on all three nights, Fish or Beef, the Mc D next door had a better choice!! Poor service, poor location...

Room Tip: Dont use this hotel

We booked this trip last year through a coach company to mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day, as my husband who is a Normandy Veteran was looking forward to it so much.
To say that we were disappointed is an under statement! The evening meal consisted of beef of fish every night we had a meal the first night which was disgusting the beef (not sure it was beef), which you could not get the knife through it, the chips were not cooked, and I dont know what the pudding was, we never ate there again. Breakfast was not much better there seemed to be a shortage of milk, one morning we saw there was a toaster but they ran out of bread and that was at 6.45 am!

The shower was dangerous as there was no threads on the bottom of the shower tray, dont think they would pass health and safety in this country!

Also 7 of our coach party got items stolen out of their rooms, and it must have been an inside job as there was no forced entry and the staff were not very helpful! The area is not one that you would want to go out at night!

Room Tip: Our room was at the front and it was very noisey hard to get to sleep!

Like the previous review we were on that tour and after a day of celebrating what our grandfathers had done and appreciating how brave they all were to get back to the hotel and find some one had been through 9 rooms and stolen goods put a real dampner on our day ......
The hotel were unhelpful to say the least .......
Our guide had to make his own way to the hotel as the police wouldn't come out to take statements and would only take statements at the station from 2 of the 9......
So be aware of staying at this hotel.......

Whilst celebrating the 70th D Day Anniversary, returned to Hotel on the eve 6th June 14 to find that 8 rooms from our Group, plus 1 American tourist had cash, credit cards, IPads & electronic tablets stolen. Management not helpful at all, insisting it would not be their staff!!!! So who has access to so many rooms??? Police not very helpful either, 2 of us managed to get there to write statements. Hotel located right next door to MacDonald's, not a pleasant area, even without this incident. Traveller beware of this hotel!!!

The hotel is situated 10 minutes walk from the train station, on the back. It is tucked between two main roads and a Fast food, not so pleasant an environment!

The whole hotel is very bland, white corridors and rooms, no charm nowhere.
Breakfast OK, quite some choices. But room is also very bland and does not help you in beginning a joyful day.

Room Tip: You have choice: one side with view on a busy road, the other facing a fast food with the noise and...
