We read about this hotel in a guidebook and decided to stay a night there since it was so centrally located. The man behind the desk was only there intermittently throughout the day and certainly no one was there in the evening. Even when he was there, he was by far the least friendly hotelier I have ever encountered. They should have put a sign up saying that " We couldn't care less about your needs". We were assigned one of the most expensive corner rooms even though there were others unoccupied. There was solid shade on the windows which I could cranked down halfway and thus was up at 5 a.m. with the light shining directly into my eyes. There was no one or any instruction on how to get them fully down. The weather was in the low 50's (F) and there was no heating in the room. There was a towel heater in the bathroom, but there was no heating. We paid around $200+ for a 1-star stay. The only reason I gave it a 2-star was for the location which was great for people watching when it was warm.
Having said that , we did enjoy our night's stay at Rouen where Joan of Arc was burned at stake. However, this would be the last hotel I will consider staying if I have a choiceMore
