Stayed here with our 5 year old son and would have no hesitation in going back. It's not a 4* Sheraton but doesn't pretend to be. If you are looking for a base that is perfectly located, clean, friendly then this is ideal for you. Cafe Flèche is round the corner and is excellent. The concierge was very efficient and helpful with what to do during our stay. Downside was the door to our room wasn't shut properly after cleaning on each of our 3 days and no bar/restaurant but option of breakfast. We decided to go out for breakfast and discovered cafe flèche for coffee and croissant's.

Used this place as a stop over en route to our house further south. Very friendly welcome by the young man who spoke excellent english. Decent accommodation for the price. Room a bit small but acceptable and had a tele, DVD player, iPod dock. Bathroom a bit tired but fine. Clean bedding and quiet overnight. If the beds had been more comfortable and the pillows ok we would use this place again. Unfortunately however, we had a terrible night's sleep as neither my husband nor myself can tolerate bad mattresses and hard synthetic pillows. So the search for a good reasonably priced stop over hotel goes on!

Room Tip: No 9 was quiet if a bit small but they all might be this size.

The hotel is well located. Very central and an easy walk to the cathedral and all of old town. The price was also very reasonable. But otherwise it is very bare minimum. Rooms were comfortable as we're the beds. Good water pressure in the shower. Very few amenities, the bathroom sink had some hairs in it and gave the sense of being tidy if not truly clean. It was a functional place and fine for the value but no more than that.

The best thing about this hotel is the location, a few minutes walk to the cathedral.
The rooms are clean and tidy but a bit dated. There is no air conditioning or a lift, so o.k. if you are travelling light and do not have a room on the 2nd floor.
Coffee and tea making facilities left a lot to be desired. There was a kettle but only one teabag and no coffee or milk.
The hotel does not have it's own car park or garage so it is pot luck if you can find anywhere nearby to leave your car.
It suited us as an overnight stop as overall it was good value for money.

We stayed here while travelling back from Spain to the UK. The rooms are small, basic but clean and the hotel was in a good location, just a few minutes walk from the Pl du Vieux Marché, a very lively bustling square with lots of restaurants and bars, many of which are open late, which was a nice surprise as we had expected Rouen to close early like many other French towns. To get to the square you need to turn right out of the hotel, turn right at the end of the street onto the Rue Grand Pont, keep on this road past the cathedral and the next left is the Rue aux Juifes which leads straight into the square.

The receptionists are very helpful and speak good English. There is no air conditioning or lifts and no secure parking, although if you are lucky you can park on the street outside, but there is a car park a few minutes walk away that charges 9 euros for 24 hours.

The hotel has non-smoking and smoking rooms so you need to make your preference clear when booking, although I requested a non-smoking room and was given a smoking room, but there was no strong smell so it wasn't a problem.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front of the building can be noisier, particularly if you go in the Summer and have to...

Me and my friends chose this hotel for the price. It was very reasonable and had a room for the three of us. Although the room was basic (to be expected for the price we paid) it was clean. Had a kettle and a bottle of water.
Our plan was to visit Rouen before moving on to Brittany. The hotel was ideally located for this. A few steps from the cathedral in one direction and the Seine to another.
We didn't have breakfast as there were plenty of cafes near.
Free wifi was a bonus.

I paid the extra for a Superior room (room 5) and would have classed it as standard myself. It does have a kettle, coffee sachets and a complimentary bottle of water all of which were very welcome but is by no means a large room.

The room did get very hot and on the first night I had to sleep with the windows, and therefore the curtains open but I was so tired after a long day that only the bells woke me up! Bed and pillows comfortable, bathroom fine. I didnt take breakfast as it was expensive at €9 and there are good cafes just up the road outside the cathedral which offer great coffee croisants etc. for 1/3 of the price.

Very good location for both city sightseeing and within easy reach of the main restaurants, parking on the street is maximum 2 hours between 9:00 and 19:00 or the car park diagonally across for €9 per 24 hours. I found the staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful but at €87 per night for a single traveller it was slightly overpriced - if you can get a bargain, go for it!

Best feature - location. Worst feature - price.
