“You will love this special, charming place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

My wife and I stayed at Le Clos Jouvenet for four wonderful nights, and then traveled on to Paris. We both still miss this wonderful, comfortable, welcoming home, and the warmth of the owners, Catherine and her husband. As has been well described by the many positive reviews, this is a truly special place. We so miss the breakfasts on the airy porch with the view of the serene grounds. From the welcome, with cider, to the friendly cat, to the charming decor, to the quiet room and comfortable bed, everything one could hope for in a B and B is found here. Catherine went out of her way to be gracious and helpful. Her restaurant suggestions were very helpful and appropriate, and she was able to provide help and assistance when we needed. Read the reviews: no one who has stayed here has failed to be charmed and delighted. We highly recommend.

Room Tip: We stayed in the room called "le verger" which has it's own bathroom and is spacious

This is a beautiful property, both indoors and out. The garden and the birds make it so very peaceful. The French country decor is so fabulous that it has been written up in several French magazines including a 20 page piece in Maison Chic. The location is fantastic and Catherine is a warm and gracious hostess. She helped us with directions, finding a pharmacy and many other things. The breakfast was memorable and I might go back just for that. All this and the price seemed quite reasonable. I highly recommend Le Clos Jouvenet as a base for travel around Normandy. I plan to go back.

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay. The house is beautiful and very well looked after. The owner Catherine was so nice, and offered us a drink when we arrived. The breakfast in the veranda was a real treat. Everything was perfect. Do go!

Me and my partner stayed here and the hosts were gems! beautiful location, peaceful gardens, lovely rooms and the breakfasts were excellent - I recommend a stay here, just a short stroll from the centre and a perfect base to explore the area, by foot or car.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. This is the wonderful B&B and Catherine is the perfect hostess. I don't have any new information beyond what has already been submitted, but I second all the positive comments. A wonderful time visiting Rouen!

My husband and I just returned from France. We toured northern France - WWI battlefields and Normandy. Not wanting to be moving everyday, we booked four nights at a great bed and breakfast, Le Clos Jouvenet, in Rouen as our home base in Normandy. The B&B owner is a lovely lady (with a very friendly cat). She provided us with maps and recommended a number of restaurants. We rented the St. Joseph room with a wonderful of view Rouen. There was also a very nice sitting room down the hall, where we could relax and put our feet up. Breakfast was very good - we did not want to leave.

The B&B was easy to locate and parking was available on site. The walk to Rouen centre was reasonable (< 20 minutes) and we enjoyed the many sites, restaurants and shops that Rouen has to offer.

We began our 2 week vacation to Normandy in this jewel of a home. The house, rooms and furnishings are understated, beautiful and inviting. The garden is stunning. The photos on the website do not do this place justice....it is much more lovely! The house is located beyond the main tourist attractions, but it is a manageable walk, and if one is tired, there is always the metro as well as taxis. Our host Catherine could not have been nicer. She is a warm and intelligent person who made us feel very welcome. She had many ideas of sites to see and excellent restaurant recommendations. This was such a wonderful way to begin our vacation, and I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
