The desk clerk at Le Hotel Charleston recommended this restaurant. We had a bit of a hard time finding it, but very glad we persisted and located it. The staff did not speak English but was very friendly and we made an attempt in French, and everyone figured it all out. We had a great, reasonable bottle of wine and we both ordered off the Menu- my husband had salad and a beef kabob and I had fish. The presentation was adorable- lots of little pots, etc. I had chocolate mousse for dessert and my husband had a cheesecake- also wonderful. They gave us some 'orange rum' to drink after dessert, but I only took a small taste. There were a few couples and a large family sitting at tables and it seemed like most people ordered right off the menu as well ( price fixe, about $30 per person). They presented the bill in a little wooden treasure chest filled with brightly wrapped candies- so cute.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant for couples and by the way the family eating nearby was treated so well, I would also not hesitate to recommend it to families either.
