Stayed one night and got same rate as previous reviewer. Had small double room at back of hotel, very hot as only a small window but ceiling fan made it bearable. Bathroom ok and wifi was fine. Breakfast was good value for money and the garage roomy and very convenient. Helpful staff spoke good English and the location is excellent. If I stayed again I would go for a better room.

We stayed here for the moto gp on the 18-21 may. The hotel is perfectly located almost next to a shopping square with cares and shopping. A tram line is only a one minute walk away. Everything t was good except the wifi, it says there was free wifi which I guess there was the only problem is it didn't actually work in your room. We had to be sitting outside the reception to connect at all.
Also the heating in the rooms, if you want it turned on you must ask at reception or the heaters won't work.

The breakfast was quite good and I would certainly recommend anyone to stay here :)

I found my experience of staying in the Levasseur a little odd.. In some ways, an intriguing and interesting establishment.. in others, just a little run down and dowdy..

The staff were very friendly and helpful at check in.

My room was in a rear building and dragging my bags to it involved negotiating some stairs etc.

The room itself was tired and dowdy and I never felt particularly comfortable in it. No aircon, but there was a fan over the bed which did, to my surprise, have an effect.. Biut it can be hot in that part of the world at that time of year.. and, well, you could find the room very hot on coming back..

Opening a window in the bathroom to let fresh air in also allowed people outside to see in.

I think they may have better rooms in another part of the hotel, but I never confirmed that??

Free internet was good.

Local parking is limited. The hotel does have access to an underground car park next door, but a) it's tight and b) there is only limited space and you can find yourself parked in spots reserved for other businesses.. I you cannot get into there, then you need the public (paid) parking in the main square nearby..

Location is good.

Breakfast was fine, typical for the area.

I didn't eat there at night.

Location great for centre of town.

Overall.. Not bad, but not that great, either..

Car broke down in Le Mans, and overnight stop became nearly a week - we saw rather more of the town than we wanted! We are both over 70, with slight health problems, and hald lots of worries over the repairs.
Hotel room and en-suite exactly right for the city-centre situation of the hotel and the price; efficient and effective room service. Buffet breakfast ample and varied, and very good restaurant. NOTE: they do a particularly good value ‘soirée étape’, i.e., fixed-price deal for bed breakfast and evening meal. They don’t advertise it, you have to ask for it.
Best of all was the staff, who were not just efficient, but all were sympathetic, supportive and above all, helpful, and all did their best for us over a very traumatic period. We are extremely grateful to every one of them and, if we had to go back to Le Mans, would undoubtably go back to this hotel.
The only down-side, and not the hotel’s fault: we spent well over ½ an hour driving round the one-way system, and finally had to park and walk to the hotel, where we were told to ignore the ‘NO ENTRY’ sign! This was put up 4 years ago, but the hotel and other occupiers can’t persuade Le Mans Council to add ‘Except for Access’ !!

We stayed at this hotel during the Le Mans MotoGP, and this hotel had everything we could have wished for. The location is just round the corner from the centre of town, there is a terrace outside the hotel to enjoy food and drinks and the staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed during our stay. The room we were in was large and had a good sized flat screen TV, and there is also free wi-fi.

A terrific stay and looking forward to returning to this hotel in the future!
