A true gem - inspired cuisine, a cut above the local standard. The fish dishes (probably the specialty) were amazing, but all the dishes were very good. Don't think twice.

We eat here every Autumn and it seems to improve every year. The menu is always interesting with a number of daily specials - everything of the freshest quality - with a particular accent on fish. There is a good, well-priced wine list too. The service is always efficient and attentive with the owner/maitre d' happy to give advice.
The setting is a delight too - if you are lucky enough to have a window table, you can watch the comings and goings in the main square where the new tram line has a station.

Our hotel recommended this, and they were right. We nearly didn't get a seat (reservation recommended) because they were full at 7:30. Fortunately, though, we did. The menu, with lots of fish, but also lamb and pork, offered a lot of variety. The dishes were seasoned lightly, and were really good. Go with the wine from Saumur. The desserts were yummy, too. The portions were small enough that having all four courses was possible without feeling over full. I bet it is really perfect for a business lunch, but also a romantic dinner (overlooking the center square in Angers).
